  1. Todays job, starting on crown lifting 500 lleylandiis to 3m to allow erection of a new fence.
  2. Used to use it working for a chap in north wakes on scrub clearance think it was mixed at 20%? He added in wallpaper paste and blue dye, reckoned the paste helps stop translocation on the stump and also dripping from the paint brush.
  3. Seems more relevant to me this year as with the loss of my gran at the end of last year all that generation from my immediate family are now no longer with us, booked in for a rememberance tattoo in october as a mark of respect and rememberance to the fallen.

    So as you all seem to embroiled in the election even though its done and dusted, hows about spending 5 minutes to remember those who fought and died so you could have the chance of that vote, lest we forget.

Seems to be a plentiful supply of future MP's on here, based on the amount of pointless spouting on subjects not connected to the original subject and biased opinions with no basis is in fact Its over you cast your vote and who you voted for either did or did'nt win, fact of life, you can't please all the people all the time.

  8. Back to fell the trunk on this ash today and finish some other bits on a site, we knew it was hollow but didnt realise it was this hollow! Thats the climber stood in the stump!

  12. Mine had stopped when I found it carried on and finished chipping before I took my glove off and pulled my sleeve up and saw all the blood, mind think the lad who was wih me was more worried than me lol

The fact it swelled up and was achin badly, had loads of thorns over tje years but not one that reacted like that, they reckoned it had directly hit a blood vessel which is why it bled so much and swelled, x rayed it to make sure nothing was still in it and had to have double tetanus shot as I was out of date.
  14. Are they puncture resistant too? Would be hand for thorn jobs if they were, spent the day in a and e last week as thorn hit blood vessel in my forearm while feeding chipper and after bleeding alot came up in an egg size lump.

Theres only 3 things you need to remember about politics, 1) The only man ever to enter parliment with honest intentions was Guy Fawkes 2) The government should fear the people, the people should not fear the government 3)Thier all as bad as one another and not one of them could lie straight in bed!
  16. Found an old digital camera on a job last year, camera was shot but one of the lads took the sd card home for a nosey, only to find a video on it of a young lad playing with himself, he's not lived down his curiosity yet

  18. Very strong winds today with horizontal heavy rain, hail and sleet, was helping put some newt fencing in and was blowing hard enough to rock the tractor and trying to keep the plastic newt fencing panels under control was interesting
  19. Just finished this one today, been waiting a while for the reclaim yard to find me some copers the right size.
  20. Other halfs just told me to get back up the yard and make some tree cake stands
  21. I'd go into the tree game earlier, and possibly plant machinery driving and I'd still farm so would still be constantly knackered and complaining about there not being enough hours in the day
  22. Yep only needle and thread now, though I did have an old hand driven singer sewing machine at one time for making up dog leads etc, my mum always told us all as kids that she would make sure we could all cook clean and sew
  23. I meant from your own jobs i.e arisings from a job you have done even if its for someone else.
  24. If its agricultural land your burning on then you need to register an exemption with defra or ea I forget which now and that allows you to bring in and burn so many m3 a year from yoyr own jobs on your own land.
  25. Animal bedding, farners use larger size chip for outside cattle corals.
