  1. I'd be more worried about the number of people you see who do have qualifications and wear ppe but still have no common sense or idea/standards regarding what their doing

  3. Spotted tonight while checking the cows, only about 10ft away, just managed to get the pic before he legged it.
  4. I charge £12 per hour driving someone elses or £18 per hour + diesel if they want me with my own tractor.

We felled a big ash in boundary of a site last year about 4ft diameter trunk and heavier branched on the garden side behind the houses, used wire rope attached to 20 ton digger came over lovely, then used his demo grab to move it in big sections to cleaner part of site for processing.   7. Just finished the last of 3 nights of mowing for hay, I'm a bit late starting this year, still got another 30 acres to mow for hay yet

Lad who does mine runs a newish new holland baler on his massey 6120, he ran an old international baler til the knotter disintergrated the other year, I used to run a massey 124 baler made good bales but was always a pig for a while once it started a new ball of string.   11. Lad who does mine charges 50p a bale I charge £1.90 per bale for the full job thats mowed,turned, rowed up and baled.

Best way with greys is to get some Fenn MK 4 traps bury them for a couple of weeks to get the new smell off, in the meantime build yourself some plywood boxes about 18 inches long and just wide enough to sit the trap in when set and just tall enough when the lids closed to allow it to spring without the squirrel jumping clear, cut a 2 inch hole in each end set your traps in these and set them along hedge lines, ride sides or near trees you know the squirrels frequent, no need to bait they will go inout of natural curiosity, once trapped 280 greys in a mature oak wood this way in 6 months
  15. There are some TPO'd trees on the site not sure if this is one of them as not starting it yet we were up there working on the other half of the site across the road.
  16. Decided it deserved a picture as the site its on is down for development with 130 houses so theres a good chance it will be down for removal at some point.
  17. Came across this little oak on a job today, unusual shape for its age, speaking to the landowner it was hit by a Blenheim MkIV which crashed in 1942, Bristol Blenhiem Mk.IV N3567, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Midlands Crash Sites, Peak District Air Accident Research

  19. All the things the young'uns are missing out on I called one of ours the YTS lad the other day, both youngsters looked gone out and said whats YTS mean must be getting old

  21. Hi Joe, she's going good only had her out few times but already knocked a good hole in the firewood pile hope the 357 does you well she was always a good saw when running
