  1. finally i get to see my zipline do at kevs! haha some godo ones in there! @ 0:46 you broke my chair
  2. I find I get cold. Then I start work and I'm fine all day. Don't have a problem with anything starting. Only the truk which dislikes the cold a bit Trees get a bit snappy when it's cold. Better for stuffing it in a trailer.
  3. I plan to offer a snow clearing service if I can. Tractor with a front end loader. Will be great for large areas
  4. Bash them over the head first. So they don't feel the above! ^^^
  5. I'm 19. I climb because I love it. Do the job because I love it. We all get those 'where did I sign up for this' moments from time to time. I've had a few but that's partly from starting up myself too. Don't plan to stop. Looking forward to what life is going to throw at me
  6. i would buy the whole range of stihl chainsaws, a container big enough for them all, pay someone to keep them clean and sharp and then buy a big mog with a big chipper and go worldwide!
  7. id love one of these, my biggest atm is a husky 365 but it struggles on a 24" bar, its not actually my saw so id like one of my own! a 660 with a 30" bar would be great for doing site clearance, plus it would go right down to an 18 or 15! which would turn it into a monster! i love shiny stuff!
  8. i owe student loans, 2 years of £3250, with another year next year. other than that, £60 to my mum, some advertising bits, nothing else, dont have credit cards, stick with a debit card and be careful with it, ive only bought bits of kit, food and fuel since about may! income still isnt amazing though, but thats what you get for starting on your own!
  9. for anything thats in your sinuses get some saline nose wash, i had a nose op in august and got a headcold 6 weeks after that, still not recovered fully from that for some reason. I used the saline nose wash, its odd at first as you can feel it running into your sinuses and down your throat and everywhere, but i managed to be completely clear of the crap and stuff from round there in 2 days, did one nostril a day. worked wonders! get it for about £6 from boots, but it lasts ages. its good to use when youve done a day in a dusty place and your full of dust, cleans you right out and its the same salt concentration as your body so it doesnt sting at all, its just a bit cold!
  10. I bought a little turboflame lighter. Handy to keep in the truck for windy days instead of a normal lighter and good at melting stuff. I've caused some destruction with mine.
  11. If you give me dimensions I can knock something up on for you. Give me the info you need and any chosen pics or colours
  12. could you not use some sort of chisel to break it up? something like an air powered jackhammer that you can fit on diggers, although they are hydraulic, might be able to break it up from there, or at least get rid of most of it? could always invest in a powersharp!
  13. definately nothing wrong with red boots! as long as its red because of the fabric colour! mark im bet your glad they didnt pull your massively overloaded micra with all that heavy kit and arisings stuffed into a tesco bag in the boot!
  14. wouldnt it affect my GTW? i thought it was only around 3.5t i could be getting confused here.
  15. bet that made for some serious undergarment redecoration! i had the bright idea once of just cutting a cable to my old freeview box, i couldnt find which plug it was and it was a faff to even follow the cable, so i just got my multitool out with pliers on and cut it, they were all metal, it made a bang and now its welded some copper to the cutting edges, it tripped NOTHING! it made a hell of a bang. I made a resolution to unplug stuff first!
  16. hmmm, im split now, a schliesing weighs a lot so i can only get a handful of chip and im overweight, id be pulling it with a navara d22 2.5tdi. but with the TW and the greenmech quadchip looking a contender, although the price will be an issue, their trailed weights are attractive!
  17. If we were iminent on buying a chipper, i will be going through my trailer test, i do have a good amount of experience and was thinking about just going for the test with no instruction. Ive driven with big trailers before and got good experience with tractors and trailer which iimo are harder!
  18. We run a JD 6330 which is hired from rowlands. We had one with front linkage since march and just swapped it for one with a front loader. As we need the loader for gritting. It's used for mainly grasswork so has turf tyres. But still gets it turn to get dirty. Does everything we need and at 120hp it's a powerful machine.
  19. I've not looked much into greenmech. I'm hearing good things about the new models. But I'm seeing more of the others available second hand. What's the equivalent greenmech? What price range am I looking at for a similar model?
  20. im looking around for a chipper to buy in the new year possibly, and im stuck between a schleising and a TW, ive seen a 440 which is a 9" and would tackle everything i needed, and i would aim for a TW 190 which is a 7.5". Im just after reviews on them, ive noticed the schleising is a 1999 machine, but ive used a PTO one before and it was a very solid machine and gave us no grief. Ive used a PTO timberwolf and it seemed less solid, like you had to be a bit more careful with it! Any opinions would help! THanks
  21. i have a silver ring and a dark grey one, then when i climb on a system that looks the same i.e. two blakes with red and white xtc on red and white xtc rope, its a little less confusion.
  22. did he enjoy climbing it that much?
  23. i like my stihls, had one pair for almost 3 years now. Not done loads of work but theyve done well! when i buy my next pair i think ill get some stretchies, ive got a hi viz pair and love how comfy they are
  24. are the ear defenders a sordin or peltor attachment?
  25. My next guess would have been a Mycena! I couldn't think of anything else at the time.
