  1. I found doing shuttle runs was a great way to increase stamina and general fitness when I was playing football. Set out a few markers 5-10m apart and mark a start line. Run to the first back to start out to second back to start etc. Build it up till your doing maybe 10 markers but have the total length about 30m. Works well.
  2. One of my regular contacts for work has asked me to find a few guys for site clearance works. There is a job within the next few weeks which is a good size and good work for a team of guys. The requirements are that you have your own kit ie saws and a CSCS card at any level. Looking for maybe 3 or 4 guys to work as a team on sites which are mainly around Manchester. Although they can vary in other areas towards liverpool. Contact myself through pm for contact number. He wants to know previous experience, whether you have CsCs cards and also any other tickets. He wants to know how much per day you want too. If you do well I'm sure you will be used for future work. You will also be working with myself on the days I have off from college on the sites. I would be there full time if possible but cannot so a team of dedicated grafters is needed. Thanks and good luck!
  3. I thought it was. I stand corrected! What's the difference?
  4. When work positioning I do clip both into one side. I don't get crushed by my system then. It works but it isn't seen as bad practice. I've hung off one side d briefly before now.
  5. i could have done with one of those on that epic hedge job i did. would have been done in about half an hour!
  6. i suppose the only wrong way you could use it would be clipping both into one side ring, or for using it to suspend your whole weight on the side Ds.but if you have a main line attached then it just becomes a work positioning strop
  7. Blue moon is a blue version of blaze. Why not just buy blaze? It is cool looking though!
  8. we choose a project, to complete the project the tutor recommends i use a case study. but i have a meeting arranged and will attend that and discuss with all relevant information i have thus far its for an FDSC
  9. here you go, may aswell post it here for others MS660 PARTS LIST.pdf
  10. Everything there is helpful, thanks for the input. Here is what the assignment brief states: The written report must: · Explain the importance of the project’s topic to the arboricultural industry · Show how the project was planned and implemented to meet specific aims · Clearly state the project outcomes · Critically evaluate the project for its design and what it has achieved · Be pitched at other professionals in the industry in terms of its quality of presentation and language used The evaluative presentation must: · Summarise the project activities and outcomes concisely · Reflect on your own personal learning from undertaking this project · State how you would approach a new project in the light of your work on this module · Be pitched at other professionals in the industry in terms of its style and content This cannot be a desk study i.e. i cant sit on my computer and find all information, which is where I have to find a case study which i can communicate between a firm willing to help or anybody else willing to help, the case studies shown are good information, but as i have no further contact with the people involved it turns it into a desk study. Getting tricky.
  11. will it ever be available by the meter from suppliers? id love to buy a shorter length of it.
  12. I use machinery where possible. We have a tractor with a loader. Good for jobs with lots of shifting. Makes it ten times quicker if not more!
  13. Acer platanoides dismantle. Very awkward due to being surrounded by new fences in all the wrong places. Did 90% with silky. Only left stubs that I then tidied off with 200t. Felled it at what is seen here. Managed to persuade the foreman to remove a section of fence!
  14. yeah send your address over, ill get them sorted with the other multitude of things i have to do tomorrow!

we paid £500 and we went and picked it up, its ferfect, it would be easier with a standard door but its just a big door instead, came with a lock cover built on so its well secure!

  15. I got to that stage after a couple of years. Just doing bits now and again and trying things. Nick I couldn't really explain much. I save all psd files if your interested in a couple? I tended to base my images with other stocks and then add scatter brushes and duplicate layers a lot and use mixed filters to give different effects. Worked well a lot of the time There are tutorial sites knocking around. Try graphics forums as they have some awesome ones there and will help to inspire.
  16. its going good, it seems like things are going click now and im understanding things a lot quicker.

ill get a few taken tomorrow for you, its a 3m steel container, it used to be a generator housing so its got a vent in the roof and two at the side, never get a problem with condensation or ventilation so i can use heaters in there while im in there.

Ill post it and then theres no guesswork, ill sort it this week, will probably be tomorrow afternoon if not thursday. ill send it as cheap as possible!

  17. Is anybody a secret or not so secret photoshopper? i know a few of us on here use it. i used to be an active gamer, and used to do forum signature designs, mainly for myself. I was pleased with some of the results i could get. Ill stick some up! i did a few desktop wallpapers too which i tended to do in college when i was doing busines and being bored out my mind! some of these took literally hours to do, some even a couple of days work to get them right. image 29, looks like a sketch which says rainford, i drew that and then took a photo! my favourite is the 3rd from last, which says throw yourself in. its also one of my latest

  22. wigan is less than a half hour from me, id be happy with the odd days cash if you ever needed a hand. id agree a day rate as thats a bit easier for myself to work out.
  23. i work from first light till dark, giving me 8 hour days for the past month or two, then i just stop at 6 in the summer if im still going by then. But im always thinking about it, what do i need to sort, who do i need to phone etc.
