  1. When you've got tree services/surgery written on the side of your vehicle?
  2. ive seen husky bikes, good machines. the husqvarna logo dates back to the wars, when they made guns, they three lines on the top of their logo are a symbol of the sights of a gun!
  3. could it have been a kretz steve? they sure like doing that to trees
  4. that shed has a nice skylight!
  5. oh dear, i would say if he put the brakes on that the weight and momentum of the chipper, which isnt light being it a german house like those schliesings would have just sent it over, and as one pin snapped the tractor flipped sideways when the chipper hit the tarmac. Just speculation, but i like working these things out. Glad the guy is ok, thats the main thing. Its just a lump of metal at the end of the day!
  6. i think getting that revved up would cost about £20 in diesel!
  7. Very sad and shocked to hear this. Especially what he left behind. Thoughts with the family.
  8. When you look at massive trees and work out where would be the best place to land them in a clearfell!
  9. This laburnum is still available. The whole pile of wood stored here is getting split and I'm saving this as it's a shame to split it plus it's not something I'd like to burn!
  10. I do flush cuts on mine! ...just read my signature line!
  11. that should say Blue Arizona Cypress
  12. Sequoia sempervirens - coast redwood Cupressus arizonica 'Glauca' - Blue Monterey Cypress
  13. I'd certainly be up for it if I didn't have college on a Thursday :-(
  14. If your going to spend that money on a top handle just get a 420mm silky sugoi! Less maintenance and would probably outlast it!
  15. We've got a fairly cheap one. Clips onto the battery with very long cables! It's 3000lb but very very slow! So slow it's not even worth setting up! I would choose something more substantial if I was to buy one!
  16. I played Dodgeball last night. I had a "69" with what I initially thought was a sexy Thai lady.
  17. A mixture of both. I'd have the tickets I have now but wouldn't be anywhere else without the knowledge from college
  18. I think so rob I still need some hands if anybody wants to come along.
  19. you sure would have had fun if you had to climb that, knock out some big lumps and the rest of the tree gets rocking. not good! at least it came down in the right place!
  20. Pic 3, Kretzmarina deusta, causes basal decay and windthrow, rarely shows signs of such decay in crown, so it can just fail without notice pic 4, I would certainly bet its a Gano, seems too thick to be applanatum, i would hazard an educated guess at adspersum. no meripilus present? that is one mahoosive included union on that beech, bound to spit its dummy out sooner or later! esp. with a gano hanging off it!
  21. Youve got PM
  22. proves its the driver, never the machine
  23. There were internal cavities by the looks of it, difficult to work out but it seems like it was in those. Seems odd as this would mean when it sporulated it would just go onto the same tree? Unfortunately I didn't get the job. Phoned me up saying thanks but we will do it ourselves! Drove past an hour later and you could see the telehandler near the pond. In this pic you can see that the decay was below soil level and that the kretz was inside. FB are just to the left of the remaining strap of wood.
  24. It has! My dad was a tool and filled it with water (800l) and then drove it on soft soil. Sank straight up to the diffs in about 10 feet! I did laugh! Had to be dragged out with the tractor.
  25. I always get complaints from my neighbours because I always walk about my garden wearing only my boxers. I don't see what the problem is, I think they make a lovely hat.
