  1. that looks like the best as i could make one, maybe with three holes in it. It is dam boring filling them up, so i started doing it with a beer and a radio in the evening. Much better
  2. would you have ant rought plans on how to make one? i'd love to give it a go. I have the 25" mill on my ms460 all i've done with it so far is make blanks for wood turning so fancy something a little more exiteing. Thanks
  3. Does anybody use the above prussik cord? Im looking at getting some, there is a big price difference between this and others. Does anybody think it is or isn't worth it?

  7. does anybody climb on this? if so what do you think, im going to give it a go but only used a prussik before so cant compare it to much

  11. Thanks, well heres how it is up to date, ive got a mewp coming next weekend, to finish, im covering half the cost of the mewp as it was my mistake, and this still keeps me under the other quotes which there happy with, and i think im going to get some ply boards as well, cause that would suck if i break it now. ill let you know how i get on
  12. yeah i know what you mean, but there is no central leader so it has to be of its self to clear the roof
  13. my reason is that if it does break even a smaller one, its going to land on the roof below and break it, which i realy dont want to happen and there isnt any other points to lower of exept its self, its very one sided over this roof
  14. I have started a job taking down a maple over a aspesdos roof yesterday, i have done almost half when we noticed one of the limbs is in very poor condition at the bass, we were planning to climb and lower of it. so we decided its not worth climbing as its over this roof so if it breaks it will smash it all to pieces. after having a chat with the owners were going to get a mewp in, im trying to get one now. there fine with the extra cost and understand the saftey, however i feel really bad that i didnt notice this when i quoted, and if i cant get a mewp today it may have to wait a couple of weeks to finish it off, threfor leaving them with a half finished tree for that time. did i do the right thing by telling them about this and getting a mewp in or, should i have risked it. Thanks
  15. im going in for my cs 40 training in two weeks so i will have that one soon
  16. do what you'd be happy to climb on not what your boss is happy to climb on
  17. dont worry team, im still young and british, ill pick up the slack and get atleast me a good reputation:thumbup:
  18. yeah i couldn't see it being the best idea, if your working with there team i dont think you should advertise yourself, and anywork gained from that job must be given to who you are working for. But im guessing you also want to advertise to other companies your freelance services, so letters is the best bet instead of a printed t shirt
  19. Hello, sorry I only just realised you wrote back on here, I would be very interested, im currently booked up for the next two weeks, but after that im currently available, My phone number is 07929591903, if you have any work after that i would much appreciate it if you could give me a call, thank you.

  23. I would really like to do more, i though it was a nice job makes a change. From what i heard the going price is around £10-15 per hour/metre what ever works out fairer for the given job
