  1. i use the large splitting axe. got it of greenwoodworks.com, he lives just up the road from me so dropped it of on his way home that night. I would recomend gransfors to anyone best axe ive ever used by far. i also bought a smaller one as i toy it looked cool

  4. Im looking at buying some net sacks for selling logs. On the website i have found it gives me diferent wieght/size bags what is the best or most common size ranging from 1kg-25kg?

  11. how about this idea, it is simple and easy with the prussik, but you can make it self feed for crown work, whilst being able to aasend on it easyily

  14. no it wouldnt, i use a 100hp, john deere, old but it works. Keep an eye out for smaller trailers the same way
  15. I often have wanted to tell people that im happy to negotiate the price to start with but am always worried that they may use this to take the piss, so generally dont say it. Its hard to judge skill as there are many different areas of this work, such as take downs, reductions, clearing. Maybe i should say what i feel my good points are and my bad.
  16. I paid £300 pounds for a 6ton trailor, and an extra 100 on steel sheets to weld a new floor on bargain
  17. I bought a trailor off a local farmer, keep your eye out in there yards when you get around, spot one which hasnt moved for a while and offer to buy it. It worked for me.
  18. yes is does depend on experience, im trying to make sure im not out pricing my self, i try to get £100, per day, i have just over a year climbing experience, so didnt want to lose work form charging to much,

  21. For my strop i bought a 37 metre rope and cut around 4-5m of the spliced eye end, its a brilliant length, very helpful to have a long strop
  22. if your selling i think best to stick to what people would expect, common hard woods. but at home or to give away, its wood, it will burn.
