  5. i have been burning some from 2 summers ago, it burns super hot, doesn't last the longest though because of this, but its wood and it burns if its dry as all woods do.
  6. I was on a two day hedgelaying course with BTCV this weekend learing the midland style of hedge laying, i though it was great very addictive. This was my first time so thought i'd share some photos as im chuffed with it, I done 17 meters of it.
  7. would any of you say them blunt quicker than zubats? i think they take quite a long time to dull down
  8. would you recomend a 420 for largeer work, and a zubat for smaller pruning? hmmmmmmmmmmmm i hate desicions and its only over the size silky i should get
  9. Another i just looked at, is the YAMABICO has anyone used this, looks quite good to
  10. do you ever find 420 to big? not sure i'd like it maybe it will get in the way, altough i do use my silky over a chain saw and so the qiucker the better, is there a speed differnce between the two sizes?
  11. thats what i wanted to hear, yeah i was going to keep the zubat in good condition for sensitive pruning work.
  12. Anyone ever used one? pros and cons? im thinking of upgrading from my zubat, but there quite pricey
  13. what does this pole do? loppers, saw, hook? or just for poking things?
  14. try it, if people buy it witout hestitating, then its not to dear, i would say its a good starting price for trial
  15. where did you get that trailor form, it look very smart
  16. i started with ms260 as did a lot of peopl i know, its brilliant light but powerful enough, its still my most used saw against my ms460, highly recomended
  17. ring anyfarm shop supplier, and ask for kubota orange, for timberwolfs, its good paint and you wouldnt tell the difference
  18. who was it you used to work for?
  19. Sounds like a steal, what do you class as soft wood
  20. 460 is a great saw, one chap i worked with, changed the pitch to .404 the different sprocket size gives a faster chain speed apparently so for the weight of it it cuts real good.
  21. Im going to back the axe, i think for easy straight wood there quicker, aswell as theraputic, and keeps you warm and fit
