  1. buy a single spliced, try it and if you prefer using a knot on the other end cut the splice off
  2. Ditto, its not like were not already obvious to the public, truck & chipper on the road, loads of noise, if they miss that i dont think a hi vis will help in normal circumstances. as for up a tree, dont see the need my self, your normally out of the way so even if people can see you easier they still cant/ or need to do anything about it as already said. Although one good thing about wearing hi vis is that poeple can cleary see your working and generally respect what you ask them to do, as in stopping traffic or explaaining what were doing
  3. ditto, I would love to get in to this for several weeks. Depends on your requirements
  4. Its like advertising something in the trade it, and you get a text asking you to ring them? if you want it you chase it up. And as said before shows your keen, willing to communicate, and use initiative

  10. i thinkyour price is good, sounds like your the same as me i mostly do domestic work, with a standard rate of 350 for 2 poeple and chipper 8 hours a day, give or take some depending on the job. Somepoeple are very happy, others keep going till they find someone to do it for less. dont worry about it, cause there isnt much we can do.

  16. thanks for the advice guys. It wasn't bad on the outside of the filter ill double check for cracks and the seal. its pretty new though hasn't had a chance to wear really and i keep on top of the maintenance. Ill try again if not get in touch with stihl. thanks
  17. I just cleaned out my ms 460, which is regulary cleaned (every2-3uses) and i took off the air filter and was suprised to see how dirty it was behind. Does anybody else have this poroblem. If so do you know if it is faulty or just how this saw works? Thanks

  24. I where still type c. However when im doing silky pruning i where some nice cool cotton dickies combats, makes you keep a eye out where your legs are more, knowing there not protected even against a wee harmles handsaw
