  1. In the UK a large % of Monterey Cypress trees are planted along boundries of small urban gardens and have over time been topped and hacked about, Seiridium cordinale is common and can be seen on a lot of trees, most common ident evident in the top of a trees crown when viewed from a distance, (tip crown dieback) if the tree is healthy the pruning wounds will be the ideal entry points, also this sp of tree does not respond well to pruning and from my own experience when these trees have been reduced it quite often follows that the trees are then removed a couple of years on from doing the work. so in not advising your client of what could happen your client could be paying twice for tree work.
  2. You must know my sister, she is the landlady at the Red Lion, i think its not open at the mo, dont know whats going on, boozing runs in me family
  3. If the tree is still covered in ivy id say it was never inspected as any one doing a survey would firstly recomed removel of the ivy to prop assess the trees stuctural and physical condition.
  4. Hats off to you mate, love the video:thumbup:

  7. ok will try it this way, there are not going to be many companys quoting for this, put in place a good caveat, tell them up front how many trees will servive,ie 25% to 50% or what you think, but buff up how you will deal with the losses, tell them you will replant with, NUMBER CRUNCH THEM!!! say 500 wips wat ever, they dont know what or how much a wip is but you do, use your knowlage.
  8. mate iv just tried to reply and this hapend, will try again
  9. I second this ,just cut at the base and let it fall away in time or get a builder in to repoint.
  10. would that view be from the other side of bradnap? looking over not so sunny bleek leek? the friendleist town in the world!!!! i remember it well as i used to go to West wood high,do you like that.
  11. ITS A GREAT SAW FOR THE MONEY, 2 years ago makta had an some offers on 50% off, i got a few saws and that model is the only one i didnt sell on ebay, its been a great saw, good to climb with and good as a stumping saw at a good price it should be good, whats the offer?
  12. SORRY did not read all info, but IMO a tree of that size/age if not affected by Seiridium cordinale would be best left alone, or advice the client to take it down, dont mess about with it as you are only wasting your clients money and will give your self a bad reputation.
  13. I have in the past been a BIG fan, from the age of 12 light drinker, 16 to 23 moderate, 23 to 34 bonkin mad so much so that my memory lacks clarity when i try to remember what i was doing back then, i know i had fun, and one thing about cider, its also the food of the gods, i was always up on time for work, and strong, its an energy drink , full of goodness.
  14. How many Royals are on here then? and hows life now working with wood?
  15. OK one MORE point, iv had my ZME and i dont mean EMA, and one more glass of red wine than i should and iv a lot of arizings to dispose of tommorow so take on board what everyone is saying and hopefully you will have a TOP assighnment to hand in. and i know thats bad spelling:lol:
  16. Should of also said, if you have a tipper you would not need to use your best blue nylon 3 strand climbing rope:001_tt2:
  17. i should also of said, no such thing as rotten timber.
  18. if b4 you stack you brash on you truck you tie some blue nylon line, you know, the stuff you climb with, to the bottom layer of brash, on your truck,- i hope iv not lost any one so far, and if every one can read wot im riypting:lol: then tie the loose end to the farmers gate, then drive away with your foot hard on the excelirator, you will find, that is if the farmers gate was strong enough, that the pile of arb arizings will, as if paul dans had done it ,now be neetly stacked in his gateway, hows that for majic? thats how the travs do it, did you like that:thumbup: but for me, all cordage above stem diam50mm is becomes fire wood , all arizings below that size are chipped and used as weed sup on a 10 acre site of woodland i am creating and any native seeds are also sown, have i spelt that ok? i hope you course goes well.

  23. Ignor the stats, they are not true, i am involved at a higher ibknobe level, things are not what they seem!!!! alot of crime is not reported, for what ever reason, insurance, districks, what ever, fear. things dont get reported, where i live , been here about 11 years iv had about 10 atempts, the first where in the first 5 years, so i know a bit about what and who is active, and iv even done a few cold calls my self,on the crims that is, so take it from me things are not always what they seem .
