  1. Hi Steve, how are you finding the chain on your 150? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. A friends nearly new ms150 became troublesome and then wouldn't start, put a new plug in it and then it was fine. Maybe a bad batch? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. I've just got some 8ft ones with three adjustable legs, so they extend to about 10ft. It's great for working on slopes and uneven ground. I got them from northern Arb and they were quite a bit cheaper than other makes, but still nice. I thing the make is work zone, something like that. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Ah I see. It'll be interesting to see your results so make sure you put them up [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Is it not just orange or white plastic, no paint? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. I got the 390 because I thought it was lighter and not much less powerful. In reality you don't notice the weight and a 661 has far more power! I wouldn't be surprised if a 461 had the same power as the 390, but noticeably lighter. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. They're great! I must admit that I thought the second pic was a woman in a long dress, with big boobs and one long arm screaming with her hands to her mouth! I have just woken so I'll blame it on that!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. That sounds exciting Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. That sounds good. I find the 150 chain a tad tricky to sharpen, probably need new files, but it'd be nice to be able to get it back to new easily!
  10. Which one? If swampster doesn't want it could I?
  11. The chains now seem far better than when they first came out, and for the money I think they're great. They come real sharp and are now easy to sharpen unlike the old type. I had one of the older ones, hit a lump of metal and some teeth came off, but even though I was honest and told them what happened, they still replaced it, and that ones been sound 👍 I think the chains, and the shop, offer a good service.
  12. Do they do different size chain, like 1/4 inch too?
  13. Thanks for that. Do you know how many different sets you can link together?
  14. Can you put a link to them?
  15. He's great isn't he, and he does some epic back leaner fells 👏
  16. No worries! Do wait to see what others say on the subject, there's an aspen expert on here [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Welcome 😀 I'm not sure but I think cheaper saws are only recommended to run 25-1 because they expect the user to use cheap oil too. If that's the case then aspen will be fine.
  18. Hiya Timon, yeah I thinking that'd be the case. Shame though, I just want the leg loops to hang down a little bit further at the front. I'll find out who makes the ones on the Vega and see if they do a bigger version.
  19. Hiya Would there be a problem swapping the rings that the leg loops and bridge attach to on the Vega, with the bigger rings off a Petzl Sequoia? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Have you any pics? I'd still take it to someone who knows, they may have seen it all before and ways to solve the problem. My bearings were going quite quickly and it turned out someone in the past had retro fitted the fins a few mm out and that was making it impossible to balance correctly. That meant I had to have a new flywheel, which I was a bit gutted about, but now I love it, and it's earn't way more than it cost.
  21. I've been seeing some in a wood where I deadwood yearly. A few of the oaks have a real red tinge to the canopy.
  22. I'd advise taking it to a shop to have it done if you're not sure, it's not very expensive.
  23. So long as you're happy with the way things are going, then all's good 👍
