  1. May's lost any credibility she may have had. I think people are starting to work out that the Tories are taking the piss and have been for a long time.
  2. Apparently it costs the NHS £5620 to do a hip replacement. sounds good value to me.
  3. Well said Steve It would be like selling your own house to a property letting firm at a big discount. Then renting it off them at full market value. Can't see that catching on, but the Tories have sold the idea to an awful lot of people.
  4. cool, sounds good. If i hear of any free tip sites in the meantime I'll let you know.
  5. Hi Wolfie, I'm based near woolpit and could take the wood if you like, can't take chip tho sorry. there is a green waste place near haughley or weatherdon area tho. Cheers Dan
  6. i've got a dyna, its great.
  7. I've had one for a few months now. It's fantastic.
  8. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'm going to have a look at a tw160 at my local dealers later in the week, see what I think. Then just need to take the plunge at some point I guess.
  9. Hi Swinny, Just been reading up a little. Yes the bearings are now greasable. Fins are now steel and the blades are bigger and double sided. Opening is also a bit bigger. The 125 is lighter but only by 50kg or so. The Rotor is slightly lighter on the new TW160 and the rpm is lower also. Not being a tech/mechanic type I'm not sure how this will affect performance?
  10. Sounds good Matt. I don't really need a bigger chipper, and its good to be able to push it about on tour own if needed. A friend of mine has got the TW230 and its really good, but just seems so big and heavy compared with my chipper. Lower purchase cost is good of course but what about cost of fuel? the diesel engines don't need much juice compare to my current chipper which has a 25hp kolher petrol engine.
  11. keep us updated on how you get on please. What sort of price are they?
  12. I'm not sure on price, Arblease are offering them at £165+vat per month. but no real details on deposit or length of lease etc.
  13. Hi All, Most of my work is small domestic arb work. I've been using a TW 150/25 for a few years now and it serves my needs very well. I'm thinking of getting a newer machine and the new TW160 seems to fit my needs. Have any of you got one or used one? Can you give me any feedback or reviews please. Many Thanks Dan
  14. Hi All Due to increased work load I need some extra help, starting in mid September. I run a small Tree surgery business in Suffolk working mostly for domestic clients near Bury St Edmunds. I would like to to take on an experienced (2yrs min) climber for possibly three days a week, either as a subby or on the books. It could be more days as things progress. Or if any contract climbers have days they would like to fill on an ad hock basis this could also work. I would also be interested in taking on a beginner as a groundy to start with the possibility to progress to climbing in the future. If you think this might be of interest please give me a call or pm me to discuss in more detail. 07865 399401 or 01359 271477 Many thanks Dan

  16. how about this one then. would be really funny turning up to jobs in this! DAIMLER DS420 CREWCAB PICKUP | eBay
  17. I got some of the arbormax ascend in the new year and so far i like them a lot. They are the most comfy trousers I've ever had in over 20years of doing this job. I'm only a light user these days (part time climber doing work in gardens) but they seem to be lasting ok. I don't know how long they would last if you where working in really bad brambles all the time. They're not as tough as pfaner gladiators and the like, but you can't have every thing in one pair of light pants. I had them custom made to fit me as i couldn't get anything big enough in the uk. customer service was really good and it didn't take very long to arrive in the uk. total cost including import tax and delivery was about £230. I guess with the weak pound that will have changed now.
  18. I've got 3 saws a 200t, 560 & 066 covers all the bases I would say. I run my own tree business.
  19. see them quite often here in suffolk, they seem to love hollow trees.
  20. As a business owner operator I think its all down to personal choice. I can set up my business so I work 250 days per year and earn £100 per day. Or I can work 100 days a year for £250 per day. Its the same out come but I know what I would opt for, you just have to decide how you run your life and how you plan to hit the goals you set yourself. As for business owners earning only 8k per year I think they either doing a tax fiddle or they only work 2 or 3 days month.
  21. Morning, Sometimes i find laburnum dust can make your lips feel a little tingly. I'd wear a dust mask for piece of mind if nothing else. I often wear one when grinding anyway especially in dry weather when the dust can get up a bit. cheers Dan
  22. You just need to read her employment history on wiki. Then you know she'll always side with big business's and banks. She has no interest in environmental issues.
  23. Sounds like to many years of cutting and holding big lumps of tree have stretched your arms. Or maybe you shouldn't carry big logs on your head.
  24. I feel your pain mate. I'm sick of making do with too small stuff. Try fjallraven for well sized clothes, it costs a fortune but lasts well. I've had a pair of their trousers for working in for 12yrs now and just needed to fix the zip. Then again for me its length rather than width that i struggle with.
