  1. I'm sure that's completely legit and not a scam at all. I suggest you place a large order immediately. Now, I have some magic beans you might be interested in.
  2. That's pretty standard. The company I work for holds back 5% for 6 months. It's basically an insurance against companies going under and leaving problems behind.
  3. I think you may have missed a couple of posts.
  4. I liked the one about rats on site where one of the options was 'take a large cat to work with you'.
  5. Fixed that for you.
  6. Only the labour element of the invoice, not all the materials or plant you supply.
  7. I like it.
  8. Nice one, Dean. I will give that a try at our new place.
  9. I always found that the bigger the company getting you in, the more anal they are. I did some whip planting once, on a totally separate site from where the rest of the work was going on, and they wanted us to wear steel toecaps, hi-viz, gloves, eye protection and hard hats. We were working in the middle of a field.
  10. Needs a maul and you have to nibble it like Euc.
  11. Good firewood, split it as soon as you can because the longer you leave it, the tougher it it gets IME.
  12. Pro users would probably know a fake when they see one. An amateur may not and so will end up with a pile of junk which is likely to be dangerous.
  13. Don't know if they do a model to your needs but can definitely recommend the quality of Kranzle machines, both petrol and electric powered. We have them on more than one site and have always been pleased with the reliability and ease of use.
  14. Served with a side order of Dog eggs.
  15. Unless you are using a kiln, the only part of the logging process that doesn't cost you is the drying so there is no reason to give a discount.
  16. I would need to check but I think they carried a 235/75 R15 tyre if that is any help. If they are any good to you and you can sort the transport out, you can have them for a donation to the Children's Trust.
  17. I've got a set of 15" alloys off a Ford Maverick GLS if they are any good to you. I think they are the same stud pattern.
  18. You need to find out who owns the waste ground and get them to deal with that.
  19. So was I. And if I remember correctly, somebody working with us seemed to be doing his best to repeat history.
  20. Taste ok, but expensive.
  21. It's your fault for saying Spring was here.
  22. Here you go. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/46477-abbey-pro.html
  23. Snow? Happy Birthday Paul.
