  1. That's one bet I've lost. I had a fiver with Geoff that you would go blind first.
  2. He didn't have a vehicle in the accident. It's a PL claim.
  3. I'll swap you my MS260 for your 346 if you like.
  4. Blowing a hooley and chucking down in Essex. I issued my own yellow alert where I was working as I was too chicken to stay under a lot of trees.
  5. I bet it's the OAP that gave you a kicking some time back.
  6. Haven't seen him for a while. You might be able to get a message to him through Writtle perhaps.
  7. If I couldn't break it, I reckon that's a fairly safe bet.
  8. I used to work with a Saffer who would smuggle me in a load every time he went home.
  9. I know that's a fib. You haven't got any.
  10. The correct answer.
  11. I had a problem with the sole splitting on a pair of Protector Pro boots and Haix could not have given me better service, even though I could neither find the receipt nor remember from which dealer I had got them. I emailed them a couple of pics and suppied the serial number they asked for and I received a brand new pair of boots in under a week.
  12. It's alright, Mick. It's not as though cats lick their own bums all day. Oh, hold on, erm....
  13. I have a few ISC ones from Jonesie's shows.
  14. 2 barrage balloons mate.
  15. Thanks Andy and Geoff. You are true gents.
  16. Just my way of saying I'm putting out the begging bowls. Along with some other members of Arbtalk, I do volunteer work for Stow Maries RFC aerodrome near where I live in Essex. The aerodrome is the only complete one of its kind in Europe. They have a fantastic group of volunteers there who maintain the site for wildlife(the BBC filmed there last year for a major series) as well as restoring the airfield to its WW1 condition. I have managed to provide them with an old Husqvarna 41 saw to make some tasks easier and I have also given them a much-patched pair of my old Hiflex. What I haven't managed to provide are any boots(as the twin brothers who will be using the saw have smaller feet than my size 12s) or a lid. I'm hoping somebody who is replacing/upgrading kit will have some used size 10 boots or a groundie's lid with a bit of life left in them that they would be kind enough to donate to a very good cause.
  17. They're the worst. The only time I have got close to taking Small Claims Court action was with a well known national car hire company.
  18. I thought you would have used Yorkshire Tea, mate. Square bags so greater surface area to stick to.
  19. If they knew your payment t&c when they booked you in, you have every right to be peed off. I'd invoice them again with a note to the effect that they are late in paying. Hope you have a penalty for late payment in your t&c.
  20. They just try and roll me back into the water.
  21. You certainly would, especially if you were having a 'pork pie moment'.
  22. I'd flush it out too, Matthew. Better safe than sorry.
  23. 40-60cm bare root plants, double spaced @5 plants per metre, staked and spiralled, mulch to finish. Species wise, stick to what you have around the rest of the field.
  24. I recently had need of a tree report on a site I manage. A friend told me that he had a tree inspection done by Sloth on here and had been very pleased with the report so I called Kevin (Sloth) and booked him in. He fitted the visit in within a day or two, turned up bang on time and did a first rate job. He covered both trees that I needed an opinion on and spotted cause for concern on another that I had missed. The quality of his write up was excellent and his bill was very reasonable. Thanks for the report, Kevin. My boss was very happy and I hope to be able to put more work your way. It's a pleasure to be able to recommend you to anybody looking to use your services.
