  1. Hardly surprising that they wouldn't share their identity on a previous thread.
  2. I think they realised pretty quickly that they were going to need a bit of help.
  3. Came out with the aid of a 13 tonner and is already cleaned out and back working.
  4. Looks more like No 2 that he is sunk in.
  5. Not us but a contractor doing some work on one of the sites I manage.
  6. I'm quite happy with an 18" on my standard 357 so I'll be interested to see what porting will do for one. Going to start trawling eBay for something a bit bigger as well.
  7. That's how I do it (the finger gauge, not the Nazi dictator, and with a handy colleague, not with your Mrs).
  8. Coud be well worth letting the other guy's insurance know that the quicker the claim gets settled, the less you will be claiming for loss of earnings.
  9. I think you're being unfair. Everybody knows that Lavender Water is a very effective masking agent for that.
  10. That's what I was afraid of. Oh well, looks like an addition to my collection beckons as well as porting the seized one.
  11. I would use a 15" on it as well but I'm frequently finding I need more bar than I have on my other standard 357 XP so I was looking for an alternative to buying a larger saw.
  12. Interesting, I hadn't considered that.
  13. Dang, you got me.
  14. It would be even better if I was bothered
  15. I'm sticking to my guns . I cleared a lot of this from around an estate lake last year so have loads of it on the logpile.
  16. Doesn't look like old wood to me so bark wouldn't be as fissured.
  17. Two for Alder. The orange colour is a good indicator.
  18. I have a seized 357 XP which I would like rebuilt and ported sometime in the near future. What would be the biggest bar I could run on it? Would it handle a 24" ok?
  19. You let him haggle you down a bit then?
  20. Quick David, get it on eBay.
  21. Brasso?
  22. I find patience and a lot of swearing usually gets the job done. Just count yourself lucky you don't have to re-coil one off of a quadbike, mate.
  23. Just emptied one bay in the compound so plenty of room for anyone wanting to drop of any unwanted chip with us.
