1. An excellent bottle of Sloe Gin arrived today. Thank you Felix for the prize donation. Just wondering how much we raised with this raffle?

Thank you Felix for your prize donation to the raffle and letting me know when to expect my prize. I kept this prize quiet at home as I wasn't expecting to win. My wife loves Sloe Gin so she is over the moon when I said what I had won.

4. Thank you for organising the raffle Steve and thanks to those who donated prizes. It was great to see my name pop up, but best of all, as community with have been able to support the Children's Trust again.
5. Depression could be caused by another condition. Have you had your thyroid checked? Under active can lead to depression Underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) - NHS Choices
6. Thanks Steve, I will make sure I get my next batch before then.
7. I know a few garages that when you give them a vehicle for MOT & Service, they put it through its MOT first even if you have told them what needs doing. I have add intermittent faults with lightbulbs. Nothing wrong with the bulb, so the challenge was locating the wiring fault. Going by the number of vehicles I see with bulbs out though, I'm sure if they check them, they can't be bothered changing them. Personally I would hate to be driving at night with only one headlight of the two fitted working.
8. I am not fully up to speed on the changes so I did a bit of reading. The important part as I see it is covered in the General Section of the Distance Selling Regulations where you have to specify certain information. The important part in this case being L & O:
9. Brexit the impact? People have started to show their true colours on all sides. The reality is as I see it is the media, financial institutions, MPs, the general public are going 'mad' based on an Opinion Poll! If the Government decides to takes actions on that opinion poll then our response should be based on those actions, not on speculation which is what is happening now.
10. Although unlikely for the council to remove the trailer in rural Cornwall, they do have the power to do it if they so wish. How does the Council treat skips on the highway?
11. As per the response, they would take the trailer away. Then if you want it back you would have to prove it is yours and pay any dues owed for removal and storage.
12. I would like to see photos that auto resize to your browser like the actual posts do.
13. Mike try clearing your Browser cache, it sometimes works as a fix.
14. Not sure who is doing the posting this year but it will feature here
15. The only way I have got things resolved in the past is go down the complaint route which gets you to someone more local.
16. Hopefully it is time to get lucky. F7 is my guess.
17. Only reason I was a bit more confident with this one is that it looked like the one I found the other week. The variation in shieldbug colours is amazing. For a different challenge I sometimes even attempt woodlice.
18. My ID skills are a bit rusty but I think it is a Forest Bug (Pentatoma rufipes). This shieldbugs habitat is mostly in oak woods.
19. I was looking at Icade yesterday and the main issue I have with the product is that it shouldn't be used on land that is grazed by livestock, which for me is very limiting.
20. This only applies if the security features are enabled. It is quite easy to edit pdf files otherwise. Even then it is is not foolproof if the document is being printed.
21. Very few councils will clear flytipping off land that does not fall under their direct control. The people who have to pick up the tab for the flytipping are the landowners where the dumping as taken place. The words public and private are often bandied about by the councils. What they really mean by public is under council responsibility and private is not.
22. So far I have not made my mind up. Locally no one as convinced me that they deserve my vote. Often I have not voted in a General Election as no candidate fills me with confidence that they could both do their best for the locals as well as looking after our national interests. I don't like the fact that I have no method of legitimately declaring this on the ballot paper. Hence I am often listed with the can't be bothered masses. I find this threads vote interesting as two of the party options I can't vote for and I have other candidate options are not listed. So as with the General Election this vote is rigged in favour to what people perceive is available. For me I want to see a valid abstention / none of the above option on the ballet paper. The more people that then use this, the more the local candidates and national parties will shift their from saying people can't be bothered excuse to one that actually considers what people might want.

Pay

The simple answer you should be getting at least the minimum wage. What that equates to in a day rate depends on the hours your work. Any thing above the minimum wage is down to what you are worth to your employer and what they feel they can get way paying to get the job done with maximum profit. Not all employers are equal and other considerations are holiday entitlement, sick pay etc over the the legal minimum need to be taken in to consideration on top of basic pay.
24. Used to have injections every 3 years (as per recommendations), then was told to go back after 5 years, when I did I was told to come back in 10 years. 10 Years after my last injection I was told to go way as I had enough cover for life.
