  1. Or the bar is worn out. Fitted a new oregon bar never happened again.
  2. A loose cube of logs round our way is £60. When we did logs our truck did 20 mpg and average was probably 10 miles ea way so thats £7. Until people stop selling logs cheap things wont change. You should do well if there is a shortage of cord and we have a proper winter and the price of gas stays high.
  3. When we did logs I used to have a price rise in august then another in December when logs were scarce I used to then hold this price through the summer to encourage stocking up early.
  4. They could just be selling them because they got a little bit of dirt on the corner or they dont match the colour of their timberlakes. Or maybe they are last years colours it does not look good when you are strutting around on the ground if you are not up with the latest fashion.
  5. Can of cola, mars bar and a banana followed by lots of tea not water its too heavy on the stomach.
  6. I had a problem with the new stress control fitted to my greenmech. I traced it to a faulty safety switch on the engine cover. I dont think the original stress control was faulty at all. Check the cheap easy obvious things first.
  7. Not sure how they do it used to be on the vodaphone network. It tends to be inch perfect. Worth getting a demo very impressive and accurate with user friendly options.
  8. I use tom tom and do alot of miles ea year. I pay £44 a year for the live updates I could not live without it. You can see every jam in the country at a glance and when you get stuck in traffic you know its only 2 mins. If it can it will route you round any problems. Avoid the 303 near stonehenge for the next few months you can go round it by pulling off at shrewton going east and amesbury if going west. Most of my vehicles have aircon, satnav and drinks fridge. I once got stuck comming back from Glasgow waited 6 hours for a jumper on a bridge and then he bottled it took 15 hours to get home luckily there was two of us to share driving.
  9. I am glad things are sorted. Bit of a raw subject for us even after 5 years when an employee downloaded a lot of contacts from our pcs onto a memory stick before leaving. I would imagine this is the reason people have produced these agreements .
  10. I had some mould problems last year using the striped vent bags but then the weather was poor. Not into log sales but store my blanks for the kindler to season them. This year have .7 bags bit thinner and have mosquito mesh on two sides.
  11. Td5 disco van racked inside and carries at least 600kg at the legal speed limit 30 mpg towing 3000kg does 25 as good as it probably gets, doubt the d4 will do that and i know the amazon won't.
  12. That's actually clever because its changing the oil as you work.
  13. Been there got the t shirt. Some of these people are so thick they can't do simple maths. When you offer to buy it all the penny drops. I offered a company in Newbury to buy two roro skip fulls . They wanted more money than they were selling to the public and then 20% vat on top. One delivery in stead of 50 ? Their expression was its money in the bank looked more like mouldy logs in a skip to me and there was soft wood in it. May be worth talking to him he may have just under valued his efforts hope he does not have too much.
  14. Neither because you are already taking the 200ft beech down for free over a green house to get the firewood.
  15. manager 30,160 - 42,640 Does anyone need a manager ? I can get by without the £640 if it helps
  16. If you start getting through bars may be worth asking if you can use proper chain oil as it is less likely to fling off. We found the best wearing and cheapest bars were windsor. I am a die hard bench grinder for sharpening chains ours were £2.75 ea from carlton why faf about with a file. abuse it, blue it, kill it who cares as long as you get 6 or 7 sharpens main thing is its sharp and even so it does not jam in the cut.
  17. I think mine will hold out easy still drives fault less. If you do go for a 2004-2008 check the aircon pipe has been done as its a £1500 body off job unless someone has found a short cut. and avoid the active suspension one like mine. I prefer the look of the old model.
  18. I think our hakki would get through a chain every 80 tonnes and a bar 2-300 tonnes but depends on quality of both. Cant answer the rest.
  19. I have saved up for my next one but dont fancy paying 40k for something with 60,000 miles on. The new shape ones hold their value big time. May have to cut my cloth and go for a LC5
  20. We run 1 disco td5 van, Lc amazon car, 2xhiluxs, 320d bmw, hyundai i10 The Hilux is totally reliable but dont expect it to haul what a landrover does. The Landcruiser is now 14 years old and has only had service parts. The td5 has been good but you can feel it falling to bits as the miles increase. The 320 is a great drive but falls over weekly.
  21. So if I collect cordwood to make into kindling I should be ok as its materials to use for the job. But I cant deliver finished product to customer.
  22. They issue this to the sas seemed to work for us in the past. I heard on the radio the other day marmit works for some people. Once the mozzies have chewed you for a day they are not so keen on the meat after that.
