  4. use a good quality 2 stroke oil & keep the revs low as possible until it has warmed up, over-revving a cold engine is the worst thing you can do.... a ported engine will be reliable if you look after it.

  8. the best two dogs i have ever had have been 'mongrels' rottie x lab, she was an amazing guard dog & her sidekick.. a jack russell, more balls than most big dogs, pedigree dogs are worth lots of money with k.c registers etc, too much breeding has gone on over the years too make these dogs any good anymore, bred for looks only, plagued with heath problems. i think the pups tommer mentioned are worth that money if you are looking for that kind of thing, i certainly woulnt describe them as mongrels
  9. whilst tidying up the van i was disturbed by 4 very young fox cubs fighting over a small rabbit, as much as i hate foxes it was good to see

  13. sadly, this will happen in every trade, where there is tradesmen, their is rogues..simple, i believe over time this will become less an less thou, i hope anyway!! the world wide web is educating people, the general public have an idea of the value of everything, this in turn puts the contractors on a more level playing field. you will always have bully tactics, thats life, nature has them too!! if the customer goes with the first quote then its down to them if they get ripped off, plenty of information for those who want to look for it, in the meantime every neibour/relative should be looking out for the elderly who have no access the information
  14. ive got beech that has been out for 3 years plus, its still hard enough to dull my chain fairly quickly, pricewise- same as last season £120 per cube

  19. in my teens.. really really suffered, through my twenties was just as bad, early thirties & i seem to be 'immune' ?? took less tablets in 2009, last year hardly any, touchwood, this year none yet!! perhaps it's because i keep away from things that trigger it, mainly horses or girls that like horses... !! maybe ive just 'outgrown it' has any one else found this??
  20. the satnav is also very tracable.... wont be long before the chip in your credit/debit & nectar card will be traced.. if it isnt already!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. thats why it's so short....... re-profiled for every job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
