  1. Hi,is anyone in the know on how to keep your website in a good position on the search engines? Ive had a site running for about 18months and it was generally on the first page for searches in my surrounding areas, however about 3 weeks ago it has dropped off and is'nt even in first 10 pages now unless i do a direct search for it.Ive updated my keywords and meta tags but still no joy???
  2. Im studying towards it (when i get the time:001_rolleyes:) and finding it very informative,i had the 2nd edition study guide and learned all that but decided to get the new edition incase there was much difference before i took the exam....had to start all over again now as theres a lot of new info:confused1: i'd say the study guide would be worth having even if you never got round to sitting the exam:thumbup1:
  3. Yes i think a few turtles heads have touched cloth during the crash landing:lol:
  4. I did'nt work offshore due to commitments at home but from what i gather from guys that did conditions were not bad considering where you are, money is good altho i suppose that depends a lot on what job your doing, hours long as its usually at least 2 wks on then 2 off altho some stay on longer than that, and you need to do offshore survival course before you can go on.
  5. I used to build and weld oil rig sections onshore to be erected offshore but i guess thats not what your looking for info on??
  6. Tilhill are advertising for a climber in Yorkshire area, basic pay would be a little lower than your wanting but with overtime and chance to do price work at weekends would put your earnings in the sort of range your looking at,and you get a van or get picked up so no travelling at your expense
  7. Ditto! Its great that you take the time to pass on some of your vast wealth of knowledge.Always excellent informative vids.Wish i'd had someone like you to show me the ropes when i started out.Keep up the good work Reg:thumbup:
  8. Hi guys, ive been asked to look at a privet hedge that has patches that are dieing off suddenly, there are leaf spots on the leaves that are yellowing and dropping resulting in complete leaf drop in areas,it is working along the hedge but leaving some areas uninfected, the uninfected areas appear very healthy. No obvious signs of pests or fungus, not close to road so dont think its salt problem.Im assuming its just Fungal Leaf spot but would this cause complete defoliation of certain areas without touching other areas inbetween? Any other ideas? What is a good fungicide to treat the problem? Thanks for reading and appreciate any advice:001_smile:
  9. A usefull technique i was shown on leaners (in my case a limb at about 40deg overhanging a power line) is to put a pull line high up,put gob opposite side to lean, back cut leaving as thick a hinge as poss then pull tree/limb into vertical possition, tie off, then go about 2' above previous cut,put another gob in direction you want to fell and fell as normal for a vertical tree/limb. Prob old news to most of you but maybe a handy tip for some:thumbup1:
  10. Cant you coppice the ones that are too big to lay then lay the rest? Coppiced stumps will grow up through the layed hedge then. Are they too big to flail? A couple of hundred for a flail and driver for the day would save you a lot of hard work and scratches.
  11. Ok thanks guys i might give it a try cos i was qouted around £60 for a new one and the saw is a couple of yrs old at least
  12. I have a micro pulley under the hitch on mine then pass end thru D ring and i can adjust with 1 hand
  13. I just pass the end through D ring on side of harness or through a carabiner clipped on side or behind so its out of the way.
  14. Hi guys, does anyone know if the fuel tank from a 020t will fit the 200t? Some little monkey ran over my 200t with the tracked chipper:sneaky2: and cracked the tank. I have 2 200t's and both have different part numbers on tank housing, will they both be slightly different? Cheers
