  1. To answer your question guys.... The difference between the two versions of Protos is that the Protos Forest is certificated to EN397 and the Protos Arborist, when it is released in early 2013, will be certificated to EN12492. The Protos Arborist will be supplied complete with the chin strap. Both Protos versions will be available in the range of four colours; red/yellow, red/grey, orange/yellow and orange/grey.
  2. I think Honey Bros will be your closest stockist of Protos...I'm sure they'd be delighted to give you a demo in store
  3. Hi Guys and Girls... Thanks for all comments and points raised on Protos Integral. It's all very useful feedback It's really difficult to convey all the benefits (comfort and safety) of Protos over a website, so if you get the opportunity, get one on your head and try it out. Protos really isn't comparable to anything else that is currently available in our industry as the product takes on a completely new concept in head protection. From the very start, it has been designed to integrate all 'additional parts' (visor and muffs), so the instant difference you feel when the helmet is on your head is amazing...comfort and balance wise. There will be a Protos video coming soon, so I'll post this up for you all to view. In the meantime, the Protos iPad app can provide you with fuller info.
  4. Mark, we are the UK distributor for the Swiss manufacturer, so the one we sell is exactly the same as those available throughout Europe. They've recently changed their colour from blue to yellow Getting excellent feed back from customers who have bought them...
  5. Great to see the annual raffle under way again! Just to clarify our prize.... The lucky winner will be able to choose from either the Protos Integral Forest or the Protos Integral Arborist helmet in their choice of colour, from the four options available... The Protos Forest is available to send out straight away to the winner, with the Protos Arborist being delivered as soon as they come into stock. (early 2013, hopefully). Best of luck!!
  6. Hi marj - if you can post me your business card or an A5 size advertising poster, I will pin up on the notice board in our shop. Pm me if you need any further details. Best of luck. Y
  7. Hi Brett, as Justin says, the visor slides up over the helmet. This image shows you in more detail...
  8. 'Tis ok Grass hopper....I guess you were so excited you missed the price in the text!
  9. We are delighted to announce, after many months of anticipation, the Protos Integral Forest helmet is now available in the UK! The Protos Integral Forest with it's certification according to EN397, EN352-3 and EN1731, is a reliable partner for heavy duty action and extreme weather conditions from cold and wet to hot and dry temperatures. Thanks to the smart ventilation system, your head stays cool and dry. The high-tech visor offers maximum visibility and won't freeze even in extreme minus temperatures. The feature that makes Protos Integral so unique is the 'integral solution'...Protos integrates all crucial accessory parts (visor, ear defenders) within the helmet shell. This means that twigs, brushwood or other obstacles cannot get tangled up in the helmet. Protos is a completely new concept in head protection. The Protos Integral Forest is available in the range of colours shown with a retail price of £165.00 ex VAT. Please contact us to find your nearest Protos stockist. Visit the Protos Austria website for full information and download the Protos iPad App! (please note that Protos Integral Forest is not certificated to EN12492 standard and is therefore not suitable for use by arborists. Protos Integral Arborist will be available early 2013).

The ventilation channels on the top can be closed or opened with a simple action. There are also wide areas of ventilation between the head band and the helmet at the front and back. Please take a look at the Protos website...it shows Protos off in all it's glory...
