  1. Hi leroybutcher...the ear defenders should not fall out of the location point on Protos. I've sent you a pm to make contact and look forward to hearing from you. Yvonne
  2. These are really popular grease guns with our customers and we also use them in our workshops. Ten year warranty too Grease Gun flexi
  3. Smidge insect repellent works against horse flies (aka clegs up our way), as well as the dreaded midge! Smidge Insect Repellent
  4. Sorry not to have replied to some of your posts until now - it was an absolutely brilliant demo for us and it's taken until now to recover!! Thanks to everyone who came along and so pleased that you enjoyed it. I'll contact those with questions directly by pm. You can view some photos of the demo on our Facebook page here: Wm Clark Facebook Cheers, Yvonne
  5. Great! Look forward to seeing you there 😃 It's definitely taking place at the address on the website link in my first post. ML12 6RL. Which email did you get that said the location's south of Newcastle? Can you ping it to me please? [email protected]. Thanks.
  6. Hi. Pfanner (previously known as StretchAIR), offer most of their styles in a short leg length (75cm inside leg) and in XS size, which has been an ideal solution for lady chainsaw operator customers in the past. For type C protection, the Pfanner Arborist trousers would be best for you, that's Class 1. If you can let me know where you live (pm me), I can give you details of the nearest Pfanner Partner to you and they will be able to help you. (Our company is the UK distributor for Pfanner). Yvonne
  7. Hi Guys Just to let you know about the UK Forestry Demo taking place on 15 and 16 May this year. The previous one, held in 2011, was a massive success and this one is hotting up to be equally as good, if not better. If watching 3,000+ tonnes of timber being felled in a couple of days by the latest in mechanised timber harvesting technology excites you, then this is the event for you! Again, the five major companies, (Clark, John Deere, Komatsu Forest, Ponsse and Tigercat), have got together to put on this amazing event. This year will also see the addition of static stands. See the website: Forestry Demo 2014 to get further information. Event location is at Little Clyde, Elvanfoot, Biggar, Scotland, ML12 6RL….just off the M74 southbound motorway. Look us up on the Clark stand if you come along!
  8. Whoa, 🐎 !! Steady up boys before you go chopping up old ear defenders and shoving them into Protos!! Here's an Advisory Notice (that you probably know already, but just to confirm).... This practice is not recommended by Protos and if you do alter the specification of Protos and/or it's components, product warranty from Protos/Pfanner would be instantly voided. (Same applies with the application of stickers to the helmet). At the moment Protos ear defenders are rated to 23SNR. Protos are working on increasing the rating but maximum is likely to be around 27SNR as the overall thickness of the ear defenders needs to be kept to a minimum to enable the ear defenders to 'park' up inside the helmet. Some Protos customers are happy to use ear plugs when working chippers etc that require higher SNR rating. Some news... Pleased to advise that integrated safety glasses for Protos will be available soon. These will attach onto the headband and when out of use will slip neatly up inside the brow area. Also a plexi-visor is being designed too, so you can switch between mesh visor and clear visor. Cheers, Y 😊
  9. Trying to message you, but you're full up 😊
  10. Obviously, the purpose of this information was only to demonstrate that Protos far exceeds the testing requirements.
  11. Morning Jaydubb :-) If it's the Protos Arborist (EN12492) that you have, you can't miss the Koroyd insert. It's in the crown of the helmet and is bright green…..
  12. The chin strap is one difference Jaydubb. The other is the Koroyd insert in the crown of the Arb Protos. Koroyd is a highly technical material made from heat welded plastic rods that gives incredible strength, yet is incredibly light in weight. (Same product that Airbus use in their planes). Under test conditions Protos with the Koroyd insert fitted has withstood a top impact of 2 tonnes (please don't try this at home!!) - making Protos the safest helmet on the market. Great to hear you are happy with your Protos! :-)
  13. Not yet, bikewoo. Customers needing higher SNR rating are using plugs with their Protos for those applications that require it. As the ear defenders conveniently park up inside the helmet, this doesn't cause them any inconvenience at all.
  14. Yes! Hi-viz Orange and Yellow Pfanner Type C Arborists are available.. Let me know your location and I can point you in the direction of your nearest Pfanner Partner with stock
  15. Thanks for the positive comments on our cutandclimb jacket guys :-) Regarding the breathability... If you aren't wearing breathable garments under the jacket, then you will definitely get hot and sweaty because perspiration is getting trapped between your skin and base layer and moisture cannot therefore escape out through your clothing. Non-breathable tshirts and jumpers just act as a barrier - like a layer of polythene between you and the breathable fabrics of the cutandclimb jacket. We recommended wearing a breathable base layer, like the long sleeved Pfanner zip neck shirts, with our jacket. That way both garments are working together wicking moisture away from your body and out through the fabrics, keeping you cooler and more comfortable.
  16. Hi MATTMOSS. The Type A's have the removable gaiters, with the hook that clips on to your boot laces. Keeps the trousers in place and stops any creepy crawlies and sawdust etc going up your legs. The Type C's don't have this, because of the all round cut protection material. Both Arborist Type A and C are available in Red or Grey and in leg lengths standard (80cm), short (75cm) or long (87cm). If you let me know where you are based, I can point you in the direction of your nearest stockist. Cheers, Y
  17. 5 years lifespan in Protos, treedave :-)
  18. Take the M74 to J13 at Abington, then the A702 to Edinburgh. Best and most direct route. Have a great time in Edinburgh! :-)
  19. Just for the record.... Removing the vent is absolutely NOT recommended by Protos.
  20. Looking good boys..great job! Sets a new standard for us online retailers. We like the Pfanner section, especially
  21. Sorry, it was the Pfanner Globe trousers that Rob has, but we can get the Stretch Zones too.
  22. Hi Arborworx. We are the UK distributor for Pfanner and have supplied Rob at Treeworker with these Pfanner trousers recently. Give Rob a ring and if he doesn't have your size in stock, we can get them for him.
  23. Hi Rhoddie Boy - as a suggestion, if you got a spare head band, you can swap them around throughout the day to keep totally comfortable. When one gets wet, you click it out and replace with fresh one. The head band clicks out easily and dries out quickly, so you can have one spare in your pocket and switch them around. The fabric of the head bands can also be detached from the rail and washed.
  24. Thanks Jim - will add your name to the very long list . First batch due in week 10 June, so we'll contact you then. (perfect colour choice to match your red troosers!)
  25. Paul, Yes, helmets are zero VAT rated if purchased by an individual for their own personal use. VAT applies if the purchase is by an employer for their employees.
