  2. Thanks for the positive feedback Frank. We really appreciate that The really sweet thing about our new Log Jack is that my late father-in-law originally designed it back in the '50s and we've redesigned it for the 2010s. He'd have been so very proud to see one of his old designs rolled out again Here's a link to the video on YouTube Rob: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8JLQLuPTc0]YouTube - ‪Clark Log Jack‬‏[/ame]

  11. Yes Wee Jim, the event is definitely taking place on 3rd and 4th June in Ae Forest, Dumfriesshire. The promo leaflets are at the printers and will be ready next week and the website is being built as we speak. I'll post all the details on here next week.
  12. Thanks for that Ben. The 240v boot heaters are due in tomorrow, so as soon as they turn up, we'll get them out to you
  13. I'm really not that fussed about rabbit stew, but they would make a lovely soft winter jacket Maybe I should leave them some toys to play with?
  14. I think the poor wee things have just been starving with the hard wintry conditions. If they haven't killed off my trees, then they are safe and won't turn into bunny burgers Thanks for suggestions everyone, most helpful as usual
  15. Thanks for your replies Had another look today and there's definitely evidence of rabbits around the base of the trees. And they've started munching bark off most of the trees in that woodland area. Is there anything I can do to stop them and does this mean disaster for the trees?
  16. Can anyone suggest what may be stripping the bark off this tree and why? It's only at ground level, no where else. thanks
  17. Congratulations bbtarb! If you could pm me your address and dress size, I'll get one Clark cutandclimb Jacket off to you on Monday. Well done to everyone who won a prize, to everyone who took part and thanks to Steve for organising and running the raffle. Brilliant total again, for a super cause.
  18. There's a big Forest Machine Demo taking place on 3 and 4 June in Ae Forest, Dumfriesshire for those of you that are interested in bigger equipment. The final details are being put together this month and we'll keep you up to date with info as it becomes available.
  19. A visual reminder in the link below of how your donation will make an enormous difference to a child and their family: Three reasons to support us - The Children's Trust
  20. Rob, this is a superb top quality little axe from Ochsenkopf...renowned for their craftsmanship and quality and a really popular choice for customers looking for something special: Ochsenkopf Rotband Plus Hatchet | Clark Forest : Forestry Tools
  21. had a great view of it in Dumfries...fantastic crisp frosty morning (-9) with clear sky. Watched the moon fade away and then turn a beautiful shade of pinky red and I even saw a shooting star. thanks for the heads up on this Judge, although you had me set my radio alarm clock for 6am and then the lady on the news said that the total eclipse would take place at 7.40am! Thanks for that
  22. I can't let this thread go past without mentioning our winter star performer...... Tegera Thermal Work Gloves
  23. I am not familiar with Northern Tools' log lifting product, so am unable to pass any comments on previous posts. I am sure they make a decent enough product. But, really, this is a product launch thread for our Log Jack, so I'd be obliged if we could keep the discussions running around that theme please and we don't get sidelined onto another topic The Clark Log Jack is quite unique in it's design and the manufacture is of our usual high standard. We use high strength alloy steels and the hook is specially hardened. Log Jack has been out on test for a number of weeks now and we have refined the design to offer the optimum tool for cutting logs up off the ground. I look forward to hearing how Stevie gets on next week testing it to destruction Yve p.s. Weather permitting, we will be putting together a Log Jack video next week, so will post on here as soon as it is edited.
  24. Pop it on your 'Dear Santa' letter and if you've been a good boy this year, you never know
  25. I'm delighted to see that nobody is looking for our model to be included with the prize! (Sure Blair will be happy about that too...unless of course, there are any ladies out there who want to make an offer?!) Good luck everybody....some great prizes again this year, although the main objective is to raise money for The Children's Trust. Hope we make a bumper total again this year
