  1. i sold my old buckinghams (must be 15 years old at a guess), in worse condition that those, for £65 on ebay (after i had them on here for a couple of weeks for £35!!). i think £80 would be a good ebay price for those.

  7. even with all those qualifications, you will probably have to start like most of us did and drag brash for £6 or £7/hour. you have just got to prove how hard you can work and how much practical common sense you have to then progress. the rfs proves you aren't an idiot, i'm sure you will get something. remember most firms' quiet period is nov-mar. good luck mate

  14. nice! would quite like a positioner, think i would have to buy it out of my own money though - my boss would tell me a 5 quid prussic is fine and Frosty - re: 'what would you recommend instead of a rope grab?' if you have the money, the ART positioner as per the photo above. or a vt/micro pulley set up (1m of friction cord, micro pulley and carabiner) with both of these, one handed tending is possible and you can adjust under load of course...

  22. the 10 week course at otley is £1,800 ish (well in 2008/2009 anyway) what makes up the extra £3,000 on a course that's 4 weeks shorter?

  24. we were driving the truck to thetford this morning, it was right infront of us the whole way, slowly getting smaller and at 7.34am it disappeared. bit of an anti climax as it was a kind of reverse eclipse - no ring of light around it of course.
