    Saw Pod

i would never clip a silky onto my harness ever again! it's brilliant for groundwork too, like getting rid of awkard branches when chipping. the best £15 you could spend in this industry imo.
  2. well, if those specs are true, it will be around .75kg heavier than the new husky, but .3hp more powerful. worth that extra oomph??

    Point break.

"gotta catch one last wave" swayze - what a cheesy legend
  4. we dump our chip for free on a farmers muck pad, then he sells it to the local power station when he has an artic load or two. everyone's a winner!
  5. speaking as someone just beyond your sons age, i can understand him not wanting to use precious time off - he's got the rest of his life to be tied down with work, kids, mortgage blah blah blah. I think £150 odd quid a week is fine at his age (i was on the dole or working part time at 19 so had the same money or less - i managed fine) then again, earning in an hour what you normally get in 3 has got to be good (not strenuous work, either!)
  6. when i get to that point, i get as horizontal as possible and pull myself along in a kind of crawl, like a lizard, as such.
  7. Brilliant! 980k!!! I have a bit of a soft spot for pugs. I've owned 3 since passing my test (HDi engines not 1.9Dt's) 6 years ago. My parents have owned citreons and pugs since the late eighties when they had a white BX (used to love the up/down sus!). I'd say drive it for another 20k, then get in contact with peugeot, the local rag etc!
  8. Feb/March i heard (don't quote me on that)
  9. amazing! a landscape photographers dream!
  10. It's alot smoother, quicker and less effort than a prussic. rather than having to pull up the prussic knot every time you ascend by half a metre, you can climb hand over hand for a couple of metres, then pull the slack through. it saves alot of effort and has cured many a climbers tennis elbow or other aches and pains on their arms.

    Ms 381???

only on the oz site STIHL - MS 381
  12. here you go....
  13. i dabble in it now and then. no training or professional use - just for my own amusement. i downloaded cs5 extended edition recently - it's great! here's a poster i'm working on for a small festival i help organise. nothing to technical, but it's best to keep it simple. i tried looking for my photoshopped bart simpson/coronet picture on here but couldn't find it! if i do i'll post it here
  14. maybe get a hobby - that amount of work can't be good for you! do you wake up, go to work, go to sleep? no free time? not taking the mick, just intrigued!
  15. cool pics andy, glad to see an old saw still getting professional use!
  16. nice one! all the best with the new family mate!
  17. he's great isn't he! he actually lives in the tin shed in the first video - no leccy, no running water, no telephone etc! it'll be a shame when people like him cease to exist! despite his appearance, he's quite an intelligent, practical man - just check his flower making and home made forklift truck!
  18. this guy should of won a golden globe the other day!
  19. leave house at just before 6.30am, get back 4.30pm
  20. A bloke we did a job for today makes these video's of a man named ozzie. Enjoy. (go on his channel for more vids - very funny!) "His gotta fire gorn!" [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVe7Ay0jjoY]YouTube - BACK TO BASICS IN NORFOLK[/ame]
  21. i think it was replaced in 2002 (a year after the saw in the ebay ad was made) it looks genuine, although i don't see why you would paint a bar with only 4 hours use. you can get a new 660 with 30" bar for around £840 inc vat, so bid with that in mind.
  22. not having a go, just curious..but do people actually pay you to clean stuff like forks, slitting mauls, spades etc?
  23. yeh it's always good to chuck in some extras, even if they amount to about £5, like a file set, a shot of 2 stroke etc etc
  24. i went into the 10 week course with no felling experience, as did 90% of the others. don't worry, stick at it, a few successful fells and you will be full of confidence!
  25. some things to consider when selling on ebay - like when the auction is due to end, key words, good pictures, offering postage etc sometimes you just lucky (or unlucky!) i bought a 034 for £60 on ebay, then sold it for £140 a few days later the guy listed it as a 032 and didn't put pics up!
