  1. 30 pence per tree mmmmmm! So can you hit 40 trees per hour for 8 -10 hours including walking getting plants walking back to refill finding dead trees, I suggest you try it out find a plantation and walk it with a timer and if you can hit 40 trees an hour you will earn £12.00 / hr My view is too cheap beating up takes longer than initial planting
  2. Can someone explain paragraph five does this mean the council should pay for damage?
  3. I believe no one has a right to an inheritance,my parents have worked all there lives to buy there home, now in there fading years that money can be put to good use helping to keep them comfortable, l am proud that now it is my turn to look after my parents as they looked after me and I would not be happy leaving the state to do this job, isn’t this what families do? sorry for the derail
  4. Both my parent are in care, I tried very hard to care for them but couldn’t it’s a upsetting subject but I would advise you don’t give advice on care or finances that you have no knowledge of, not getting into this any deeper , but I fail to recognise your view of social services
  5. Wrong !
  6. Hope they don’t so I can get it from withams as surplus
  7. I would go for hydraulic a husky easy to fit loads of pull and no worries on overheating
  8. Both ways picture of locked gate should do it they would have to prove it wasnt
  9. I believe not if it is closed 1 day per year
  10. Never quite that simple

    Where are you?
  12. I would fertilise, water well and leave alone vine weevil mainly a pest of containers shouldn’t see any damage to plants Chuck some nematodes on in the spring when weather warms I would be tempted to get the stock supplier to provide the nematodes
  13. 10 weeks hire that it paid for!
  14. Tractor linkages are very similar all round the world why not mini loaders?
  15. Still think pitch pine right age growth rings look right
  16. But it’s an adapter plate moves the centre of gravity foreward so lowering capacity, the Americans and rest of Europe all use interchangeable headstocks, trust the French to be different, I agree about the over under engineering of attachments but the fewer pallet forks I have the less money I have tied up currently have avant, bobcat large bobcat small and euro then having to buy another set of kit just seems expensive
  17. What’s happened to wave/ tidal energy
  18. I think this is where micro bull have cocked up should have used a hitch that exists l have looked at them and they don’t work with adapter plates if it had avant hitch would probably buy one, trying to get all my attachment to be interchangeable
  19. Customer has a petrol great for mucking out horses although it can’t get in the box, pretty good at grass cutting but nowhere as good as a dedicated mower, bloody useless with a flail don’t try to run rotavator, and as for loading/unloading a transit with forks it’s quicker by hand, did I mention no reach, and the operator is part of the counter weight don’t get off if the load is lifted, skid steers are much better, if you liked it in the dealers did you demo it on site? Try it see what you think,I have and not impressed I stick by it being a toy /lifestyle machine. But it is better than doing operations by hand and anything that saves my back deserves looking at
  20. Very much a toy / lifestyle machine rather than a real workhorse, off road ability of a london bus and you can pee more than the hydraulic flow
  21. Got an Ahwi in for our last line clear did everything apart from couple large willows they don’t like flails over the live pipes, saves whole load of time and better finish with only one machine.flails on diggers I’ve never found good for bigger jobs most tractors beat them easily unless it’s a slope
  22. Have you thought about getting a flail in sounds ideal for it
  23. With bird nesting we supply our own ecologist to survey ahead this allows us to keep them under control the whole gang look and survey the trees ahead and we then record this as video and written reports it’s unusual to get trees old enough for bats,
  24. You have got it we try to contact local tree officers just to let them know it make it easier when dealing with tree huggers, this advice only applies to public land if it’s in private ownership take care it’s amazing how many pipelines and cables have no legal wayleave and that’s a whole pile of trouble
