  1. Oh & my mistake,I meant Damselfly (embarrased),but Im not going through all that again to change it today! How daft is that!:blushing:
  2. If I saw someone set light to their mc donnalds bag & lob it out the window,I would not think well of them, these things arn't much different imo,and the livestock threat seals the deal for me.
  3. I put my 'Daktari' uniform on this morning, dashed out to my pond, and got snapping, then the hard work started, about 150 images to process, then the selection process to try & maintain continuety, without people growing old watching it! Thanks for watching,it was all taken on site, and no living organisms were harmed, even if it nearly did me in sorting it all!
  4. Ta for the link,Thats my tv sorted!
  5. Well I dont think I can cut the mustard, but I have been a bussy boy,so if you have a moment (and my set up functions),heres a batch of pics that can be watched as a slide show of sorts, its a mayfly emerging from its (new word, thanks Janey) exuvia, with a few close ups thrown in. To run it;click on the pic, flikr will open,at the bottom right of the image is 'Mayfly hatch including proud...tag', Right click on this and select open, the page will open, above the images is 'slideshow' , left click this & get the popcorn out! Hope it works! IMG_0334 by geoff321, on Flickr
  6. You have to admire a man who goes into battle with his kit off,you know they mean business when thats coming at you!
  7. Rose from my slumber a little after 3 this morning to my dog growling & ny gates could be heard not doing their own thing. Some herbert was making an attempt (the dog gets another biscuit). I didnt bother with me rambo armband, just headed for the door with a 'sturdy walking aid',suffice to say persuit was futile,on getting outside the mutt was going balistic & after getting the gates unlocked & getting out front all I could now hear was the blood knocking round my head. Daft thing about it is I'm putting a caravan in my yard to sleep in,so Im right on top of my gear next week,as I'm stripping out a couple of rooms for renovation work, and expect to stay in the van until the winter drives me back in again,I would have had a better chance of upsetting my visiter from that vantage. So heads up lads, dont give them the chance.
  8. I aspire to reach 'semi geek' level Janey,& getting involved in this thread a bit may give me a more targeted approach, the works of the guilty few on here are a truly inspirational. Hamma gets my top vote,he had a bit of conflict in the early days, and it appears to have spurned him on to new heights. So please excuse me my ignorance! I dont give comlpiments lightly,so I wont pass them out,but keep upthe good work......please!
  9. Well, you might be a bit better than me then Janey.. I primarily enjoy the image capture, but this leads me into an interest in what they are about, and how they fit in, so I'm an early novice with a few shortcuts on my pc to ident websites!
  10. Evolution seems to have left him alone, what an agravating, mindless creature,sorry...just dissapointed he didnt end up underneath it!
  11. Thanks Janey,I seem to get better definition with flikr as against photo B,and they are clicky get big pics too! David, nice shot, but the bee looks like its had a night on the tiles! Heres a hover fly,I like these things at the moment; sh2 by geoff321, on Flickr

  24. My atitude is if they dont like it get out in the private sector, its tough all over,we all bitch,& anyway,I did a job for a teacher last week, yes you know it,they tried to drum me down on my quote,& I got as can you just into the bargain. That helped me to empthise real well!
  25. Time lapse photography, thats what they call it. Have a peek at the panasonic lumix range, great cameras, dont know if they do the TLP,but you can buy a remote shutter release that can be programed to make the camera do time lapse.
