Great figure in the bowl (top pic,top right). Nice work as usual! Good luck on the work front.
  3. It's all slander!
  4. Oh, & no product, spouse, or religion based groans are eligible unless profound & of a very rotund origin.
  5. :blushing:we all get a good reason to have a good old moan,no one wants to hear it,(least of all me),I'm far too preoccupied with my own niggles, but for the benefit of others what are yours? Expect no sympathy,no empathy,or solution to your woes. But ridicule is a very good healer.... Give it a go & see!
  6. Thats a task you took on there, last time I removed the like of that I was more than glad to be driving away from the completion, you may have the odd nightmare about it over the next few weeks, but be heartened by the thought of other more horendous jobs looming!
  7. I love the stuff,& run all my saws & blowers on it running a small company,it is expensive for sure, but works well in my opinion for a few good reasons, its here now,it is definately an improvement to the work environment,(thats a big one for me),I can lay up the 3120 & know she will sparkle when needed,& I dont end up buying chocolate etc when doing the routine pump stop in the morning...Ah bliss!
  8. I agree Rover,a bomb proof little saw,& you are dead right about the bar size too.
  9. Back to basics,I think loads of people want answers to the questions you raise, but it's such a wide spectrum of answers you ask for in one hit that us old grunts can't correlate it all in one lump, hence the info not getting to you here on this thread. This is not criticism, just an overload of requested answers. Go specific on the posts, reasearch the forum,& it will prove to be most informing resource. Best of luck in your ventures,& keep with it.
  10. Have to agree Hamma,on larger hand helds,or if using a powered saw a tape is alround safe,& doesnt have to be time consuming either.
  11. Bang it in aperture priority,& adjust the f.stop number (aperture, like the pupil in your eye), to the lowest number, say F3.3 or F4,and take your picture, the lower the F number the wider the aperture/the shorter the depth of field in focus.
  12. Another belting little mutt there Jump -it!
  13. Great pic & mutt Harry,he is full of himself!
  14. I would go for the stihl domestic saws, they are great tools, also consider using Aspen 2t fuel,as it comes premixed, and if you are only using the saw now & then will not go 'sour' on you as pump fuel will after being left for a few weeks, the aspen will stay fresh for a year or so. Most domestic saw problems are caused by bad fuel /oil mix,and the fact that pump fuel deteriorates after being left in the saw or storage can. The husky saws are ok,but I do believe from experience that the stihl equivelent is the better saw when looking at this size of machine.
  15. Spud,I love that sound....the best for my ear is an old cr500 ring tinging & branging when you blip the throttle on any sunday morning!
  16. Dunno the science bit,but just bought a m/cycle & was advised to stay away from supermarket pumps, and the saws I run are a lot better on aspen than they ever were on predominantly s/market pump fuel.
  17. Great post:thumbup1:
  18. Thanks mate.

  21. Good stuff Lee,looks like a great thing to do!
  22. & dont they all, thats evolution for ya.
  23. I have the same problem, but just get on with it & have a wriggle about when my ropes are not loaded,I find the leg loops tend not to ride up too far due to the volume of my lunchbox, but we are all built different! & at my age the forementioned is numb all over anyway.
