  1. I've seen that vid' before but it still manages to scare the bejesus out of me . It's been a loooong time since I've had my feet higher than the office desk!
  2. Did you have a furry coat on at the time?
  3. Have you had a look through what's on offer on these 'sites? Arbjobs.com | find Arb jobs / Tree work Arboricultural/Arb jobs. Complete Tree Care Arboricultural Recruitment Horticulture Jobs - for Garden Centre Jobs, Landscape Jobs, Arboriculture Jobs & Gardening Jobs Overview - Arboricultural Association Directgov jobs and skills search - Job Homepage Good luck
  4. Wow. I know they are hugely powerful birds, but I still wouldn't have thought of them being able to bring down wolves. Ignoring all the hunting issues, that is an incredible film.
  5. It's 'sites like that one that ensures I'm never going to get an early night . Good find - there are some interesting looking articles on there.
  6. So when's Jonesie going to stock those chainsaw protective gimp suits ?
  7. What are the reg's on a listed tree in NZ? Is there an obligation to replant, with possibly something (eventually) even larger and in a more awkward, view blocking position ?
  8. I think you may have missed the closing date, unless I have read the original posting date wrong....
  9. Wow, that gixxer's a beast! What year is it? It's very clean - I could use someone like you to give my Trumf a good going over, coz it sure don't get it from me!
  10. I thought I'd add a couple of pictures of one of my moneypits - before and after a bit of fettling: (I've only read the first few posts of this thread so apologies if I have suddenly gone waaaay of topic! )
  11. Charnel house and something fastigate ???
  12. I had a look at some of the clips on the side menu - did you see the size of that walnut? It's mahassive!!!
  13. Hmm, a little bit too extreme for me. Although i'm sure it may appeal to some
  14. Where can I get a furry jacket like that?
  15. Hmm, what's going on with the oaks? Something I have noticed locally and then staring out the window on a trip down to the sarf coast is that an unually large percentage of them have kept their leaves. Why haven't they abscised? AT boffins - help me out here
  16. Estate Worker/Arborist with Syon Park | 304385 New in at Hort Week. It's a fab place and a really good opportunity. The accomodation makes the low salary almost bearable.
  17. I've only just read your post. Big, big hug to you . It's a stupid question and I can guess the answer, but how are you coping today? This will be little consolation to you right now, but I can promise you that the pain really does get easier to deal with over time, although it never truly leaves you (I'm snivelling now in the memory of my ma who died over two years back). There is a fantastic online community here who, I'm sure, will give all the support you need. X
  18. Err, no, I haven't had the pleasure of actually submitting something, I'm usually the LA bod' that sits and interrogates it. And it's far simpler than some of the LA systems I've used. Try it - you might like it
  19. You could always use the Planning Portal and bypass each Council's individual requirement and keep it all paperless.
  20. Smart lil' adder disguising itself as a harmless grass snake like that . When no one is looking, it can leap out of disguise and do it's worst!!!
  21. If I'd had the foresight to post anon, I wouldn't be on the naughty seat
  22. This is something I've been looking into myself of late. One compromise between CAD and sketch maps I'm considering is buying editable site maps (loadsa sites do them quite cheeply) and then using Paint to plot in the trees / RPAs etc.
  23. What mischieviousness have you got - anonymously - planned AB???
  24. Here's an interesting article on ALARP re treeworks, if you haven't already got it: http://www.vscg.co.uk/documents/uploads/NFayPaper.pdf
