  1. Thank you . We've got quite a lot of wildlife in our back garden, considering I live in the suburbs of London. We've got even more now since the Cat passed away and doesn't eat everything.
  2. Are you refering to this one particular TO or all LA Arboriculturalists? I thought I'd better ask this before I go into automatic defensive mode
  3. How very dare you... I feel everyone of my years some mornings, and more!

    Wii fit.

Then you must be doing it wrong if you think you need more exercise in your life !
  5. I'm glad to see it's not just me who watches far too much TV No, I hadn't noticed that, but on a slight tangent, did you notice that in one of the M&S ads from last year they used "Ichycoo Park" for the music, which is a song about getting high and the Waitrose ad that used "Golden Brown". Just what, exactly, were they trying to sell us???
  6. Easy mistake to make as that's what it looks like . They are forocious hunters and will attack other insects that are almost their own size. I love 'em!
  7. It's the adult (imago) emerging and drying after emerging from the larval stage. What you can see the old exoskeleton of the nymp that the adult has just burst out of
  8. I'll do a deal with you - you share you're fungi knowledge and I'll tell you loads about nerdy tree facts

    Wii fit.

I din't mean it to sound quite as disparaging as it did, either towards my tubby rellies or towards wii I should have reread before I posted! I think wii fit is good home entertainment and as you say, it's better than sitting on the sofa and not doing any exercise at all. But if you want to be serious about either achieving or maintaining a decent level of muscle strength and cardio fitness then there are better options, even it that means doing it at home if you can't get to the gym. I only do 20-30 mins light weights and resistance work per day at home and the results are very noticable.
  10. That's a cute little article and easy to understand. I've never heard J regia being refered to as "English" walnut before, has anyone else heard that name being used at all?

    Wii fit.

My Bruv and his family use it all the time. They used to all be very overweight... And they are still all very overweight, other than my nephew who goes to the gym instead. Infer from that what you lke, but it doesn't seem like the best of adverts for wii fit to me.
  12. Here's one of my fave's from my back garden. Good thread

    help

Your CV is all about your general skills, qualifications and experience. It is fairly generic and while you should edit it for each job that you apply for, it's more a case of adding or omitting bits rather than rewriting it. Your covering letter is all about why you think that YOU are the best candidate for the job and what you can offer the employer. Use this letter to write a few paragraphs to describe more specifically than in your CV about what makes you suitable to that particular position. Read the job and person description carefully and try to show examples of how you meet each requirement. Good luck
  14. That's an absolute beaut' Alex. You must be very proud of the quality and and aesthetics. You'll be pulling the ladees with a tat' like that for sure... Argghhh!!! WHY do people do that to themselves?
  15. You could've told me that BEFORE I went to work!!!
  16. Was she standing over you when you posted that, Rob?
