  1. :lol:or filed your pocket up with oil:laugh1:
  2. They yours John? What you replacing them with?
  3. What its worth remembering here is that a landrover may look totally buggered, but could be mechanically superb....as is the case with mine. The ali bodywork dents if you so much as look at it lol!
  4. Terrible News. Poor people- they seem to be just getting hit after hit.
  5. I agree Pete- that would be my worry TBH. 4k is cheap enough for a really well looked after one, but onew never knows til its too late lol! I also think that the comment about butt strength is valid....I wouldnt think that a hi-cap butt wil take years of abuse. The one i took off to convert my landy was torn to pieces on the floor...the tailgate fell off driving up the road in the end as the sides pretty much fell off!!
  6. No i dont think it was necessarily abused- I was simply passing comment. That is cheap-ish for a 200tdi tipper if its in good mechanical condition Pete. They seem to hold their value, and the 200 is a great engine.
  7. I have a feeling that that defender used to belong to log merchants in cornwall. It certainly looks like one that was kicking around down here, esp the way the tipper is made.
  8. WHat rope sizes are the pulies rated for...or I suppose what size rope will the smaller one handle up to?
  9. Surely you are at work to work....NOT answer the phone? My phone stays in the truck, and so doea the phone of anyone who works for/ with me if its my job. If we are a long way from the truck (which lets face it very few of us are if on domestic tree work) then I may take it with me but leave it in my crib (lunch) box. It will get answered at breaktime. If you are on someone elses time then you shouldnt be answering your phone AT ALL. IMO its tantamount to stealing from your customer.
  10. Yada yada yada:lol:........H14w PTO driven superwinch.....runs off the gearbox, 5 speed with 110 horsepower behind it.....you can wind these things up to 14,000lb, with NO chance of overheating whatsoever. The ultimate winches.
  11. I think those mizers are very overrated for the money.
  12. Good advice Frank. If youconduct yourself in a professional and business like manner, and your standard of work and cutomer care is as good as it can be, than you ought to have nothing to worry about anyway.
  13. I would have thought that it is verging on a legal matter- certainly VERY unprofessional!! This sort of thing generally backfires though, so unless it is really affecting your business I would let them play their games.....
  14. Nice looking ropes John. Have you tried any of their climbing lines, or just lowering ropes?
  15. Great page....88metres!!!!
