  1. TBH andy I think you would find that there would be no problem. Adult dogs see pups as 'no go' areas as far as aggression is concerned. The usual outcome is that either your grumpy lab will surprise you and be really nice to pup, possibly even rejuvinating the lab, or the lab will just basically ignore the pup, with a few well timed f-off growls. I cant think of an occasion where i have seen an adult dog attack a pup.
  2. Boomeco....as has been said.
  3. Ring round the local furniture makers- it ssurprising how the word gets around.
  4. I cant keep it in stock for any length of time- yew seems to fly out the door before its even properly dry!!
  5. If the traffic warden attempts to enter your work site, which will of course be properly coned off:sneaky2:, you are legally within your right to refuse them entry, and make them leave if they do enter. They would be hard pushed to get a ticket on you, and they have to get the notice on your vehicle or they have no case.
  6. No need for any other!
  7. If the turbo is on its way out there is a good chance of alot of smoke. If you arent getting that then its more likely to be something like blocked filters, or given that it is intermittent, a piece of dirt over the pick up in the tank. That will affect the rev point at which the turbo kicks in too. I would do all the cheap bits first. Change all the filters, and take the pick up pipe off the lift pump and having removed/ loosened the filler cap blow back down the fuel line with a compressor. If you have a filter in between the lift pump and the tank, blow it back from the tank side of that filter. Turbo on a rice rocket may be cripplingly expensive.....hope its dirty fuel related mate.
  8. Just been speaking to a largeish dealer in the south west, who is expecting them fairly imminently......around the time that the annual price rise comes in....usually at the end of feb. He also reckons that the price will be a teensy bit lower than he is knocking 200's out for....
  9. The 10' butt will be of interest to sawmills. The rest is probably worth what the equivalent firewood is worth, unless you dry and wax it ready for turning, then you may get around £10/ cubic foot.
  10. They are on bonus incentives to sell you more and more crap. Every time I speak to them they try to offer me either a loan, a credit card or insurance.........and every time I ask them if they would accept this sort of behaviour from a venomous snake? That usually ends the conversation pretty sharpish.
  11. Gone with NFU in the end. Thanks for all the tips.
  12. Spoke to these guys earlier. They are trying to wind down their subcontracting to almost nil, and are wanting more direct employees.
  13. TCD- speak to tyrone snell trailers. That chap I was talking about with the 130 on a galv chassis has them on that vehicle, and on all his trailers. Got them from Tyrone snell, and they are excellent.
  14. CAnt wait for that one. I read that ages ago, its a little hazy now... Fear and loathing in Las Vegas was the most amusing I reckon...I finally got round to reading Motorcycle Gangs last year. An interesting read, but just that- like most of his journalistic books (on the campaign trail etc etc)- interesting. The drug fuelled madness of Fear and Loathing in las Vegas made it stand out somewhat.
  15. LOL...read it that many times i almost know every word!! Seen it a few too. You read any other of his stuff?
  16. Heres some info on that euc. Species Information
  17. They certainly are.
  18. I reckon finding a new knot would be impossible, but variations on existing knots are almot certainly out there waiting to be tied.
  19. Glad to hear it....now dont do it again.
  20. Its equity red star who arent doing commercial vehicle policies anymore....they underwrote the TRust policy i had.
  21. Happy days!
  22. I wish i had the chance to play with/ near that sort of kit! Whats all the timber destined for?
  23. Great set of pics Mr C!
  24. Nice work Rob, as usual! As has been said though- put stickers right at the end too, and you could also paint/ PVA etc the endgrain before milling too...it really does slow down end cracking...
