  1. And it is this sort of stupid, immature, pathetic potato attitude that winds non tractor drivers up to top pitch. I bet you are in the brigade who think that you are 'cool' doing 'traffic calming'. Wait until you hold up an ambulance in whihc someone dies because you were in a bad mood. Its people like you who give us all a bad name:thumbdown::thumbdown:
  2. My last 2 days' customer has one....he cant with to get rid of it. Off the road in the garage more than on, drinks fuel, and rattles he reckons.
  3. 26???????? Keep up!!!!. To rectify those figures, get some 285/75/16 BFG muds, a roofrack and get the weight up to 2 1/2 ton empty, and you'll soon be down to around 20mpg or less:001_rolleyes:
  4. If sheep get on their backs they generally cant get on their feet again....actually I think that sheep are born with zero desire to live.
  5. Everything tows alot more than rated..... Thats not the point.
  6. There is a kebab and curry stand at the bottom..... Actually i doubt that there are many at all......they are mountain goats, and goats in general are about as sure-footed as animals can get too.
  7. I just saw this on QI, and had to check it out. Here's a link. Mountain goats climb 160ft near-vertical Cingino dam | Mail Online
  8. Thats horrific. Poor guy. What a terrifying end, and a sad loss to his family. It must have been traumatic for his co-workers too.
  9. do you only half load your trailer? You can only tow 2.7 tons with those motors and the tt105g is 1 ton.
  10. What sort of softwood is it? If its sitka you will be paying a lot less for it as it is total crap compared to larch for example.
  11. A plant.....why did i not think of them?!?! John has a buggered bearing and he has no time to fix it at the mo, but thanks Stu!
  12. TCD had his in a lock-up.....you couldnt move for saws, and I only saw it before he had the full battalion:lol:
  13. He's probably run out by christmas.........
  14. Fantastic post Alec, thank you:thumbup: . That is REALLY interesting stuff, which I imagine there is far more to, but even on that level it really will help (me) when asked about timber by customers. For example i have a chap who wants to build a 12m by 8m swedish style log cabin. He was asking me about durability and i could only advise on 'anecdotal' (I mean not backed up through the sort of stuff you have detailed) evidence.
  15. Aaah vincents...hadnt thought of them. Ill tell them i need one on demo:sneaky2:
  16. Sweet. You bought one then or what? Blag your mates with the pus green livery to get you one.....it'll be in their interests i am sure:laugh1:
  17. I have tried to follow this thread, but tonight is not the night after a botle of Malbec. Infuriating, as i have 2 fruit trees to prune , but have always shied away from doing them in case i wreck them........
  18. Thats pretty much what i was thinking dave. ta anyway tho'.
  19. Shame.I have to admit i was pretty gutted to leave it but i was in NO position to rescue this one.
  20. Fair play. I only ask because of the coments you highlighted at the end of your vid.
  21. I think its wing was broken. The chap holding it in the pic used to work for the RSPB. I was all for getting intouch with someone (vet, RSPB etc) but apparently tawny owls arent seen as endangered enough for the RSPB to be interested!?!?!?! I put it on the verge, drove past about an hour later an it was still there, but i doubt it survived the night TBH.
