  1. Thats all well and good, but when they have your produce sold, you cant take it back, esp if you have not delivered direct to them, as no farmers do. They are also tied in to exclusivity contracts and loads of other heinous stuff. My old neighbour was nearly broken by them. He told them to f-off last year, best decision he ever made he reckons.
  2. Every single farmer that supplies supermarkets. They're total barstewards, who have have this country by the balls.
  3. Try supplying tescos......6 months payment terms. Then they decide to only give you half the money because in that artic load of caully they found one slightly damaged head....or they decide that they wil only pay mince prices for best fillet, as they are mincing it- never mind that they never mentioned this when they took delivery etc etc .......
  4. Was the tank empty when she put the petrol in? I am assuming you have about an 80 litre tank- maybe more- so if the tank was empty and she only put 9 litres of petrol in i personally wouldnt be concerned. The biggest danger from petrol in diesel engines is the increased pressure, which can essentially hydraulic your engine in extreme cases.
  5. IME merlo are the most useable and best designed machines out there by a long long way. Unfortunately they are VERY pricey for the build quality, esp the brakes which are atrocious, however given the hydrostatic drive this isnt the biggest problem in the world. STill a bit overpriced though......
  6. Getting breezy down here, and very very wet too.
  7. :lol:thats the best euphamism i have ever heard for getting amsterdamaged:thumbup:
  8. Not for long anymore Rich.... Dutch drugs 'ban': Is closing Amsterdam 'coffee shops' to tourists really a bad thing for the Netherlands? - Mail Online - TravelMail blog
  9. Try these guys....Blue Line Trailers - Trailer Manufacturers - Home Page They are in south lincolnshire.
  10. Trouble with that is that if you go to vermeer for what is an aftermarket (ie not made by them even though fitted at the factory) you will pay a fortune. Vermeer parts are VERY pricey.
  11. I had a 620, and the brakes were knott. Either way, the brakes arent a vermeer part, so you should be able to take it to ant trailer dealership hwo does repairs or fabrication and they can respring it for you, assuming its the spring that has gone (which bythe sound of it is the problem). You CAN do it yorself, but the spring is VERY powerful, so this is not advisable.
  12. What are you towing it behind?
  13. What make of coupling is it? Knott? Whereabouts are you?
  14. Looking at met office latest, it seems that the southern half of the UK will be worst hit thins time, with the north escaping it. There arent any warnings for the north this week, but amber for the south.
  15. The first word of that video's title is pretty worrying!!!!!!
  16. Dont worry TCD- in a few weeks you will be stressing about getting it all out in time!! You may even find that you are one of the few with hardwood left in a few weeks if the phone stays quiet for a bit.
  17. I think you ned to talk to your employer about this. You cant just land him with a bigger bill without at least mentioning it to him before you go to reading. I would expect to pay extra to a subby for doing this. Are you gonna be taken to the job or hve to get there under your own steam? Obviously he would be (IMO) obliged to pay all or some of any extra costs incurred by the journey, but TBH you arent really talking about mega extra hours there. IMO 6 am start in wales and 7pm finish there too isnt the end of the world, if you had to be at reading from SW at 6am and be there until 7pm with the journey on top of that, that would be a different matter.
  18. I think its caled an Arclite? Its a heavy old stick welder that suits my level of (read lack of lol) skill, but is very reliable.
