  1. Great link Rich. That must take some doing. The perfection on the skyline behind is incredible! I really like the effect, especially jhutti 2004.
  2. Is that what its meant to look like? Mine doesnt give me any screen like that. Its on a blackberry.......Il try to sort out a pic.
  3. I would be inclined to ignore all the claims made on that thread TBH.
  4. Nice one TCD. Does it have side covers on the rear handle tho? About 4" long and about 1/2" wide?
  5. Has anybody got a husky saw that is scrap, or that is being broken? One of my huskys has lost the two plastic plates from either side of the handle, strangely, and the price from husky is horrendous. The saw that has lost them is a 390xp, but the ones from my 242xp fit (i swapped them over) so I assume any husky saw will have them to fit. So if you have a husky sitting at the back of your shed for parts, perhaps you could reply here if they are available. Many thanks.
  6. Ew thats hardcore, poor guy. I hope he is back on form soon.
  7. :laugh1:good point:laugh1: Hobbit house sounds nice.
  8. ahem. in a distant past:thumbup1:
  9. I dont get this? Surely family is the only investment any of us truly make? My child is the single most important investment, and the only TRUE investment that i can ever make. Money is (as we should have all learnt from the last few years ongoing events) a means to an end- ie survival, and our survival is a means to an end- continuation of the species, hence why the only true investment we can make is that of and hence also for, our children.
  10. What a fantastic bit of kit.
  11. There is a huge banner at the top of the page:thumbup1: Or use this link
  12. At that age there could well be. It was in the 60's that it was phased out, and yes- I would be very careful about walking on that age of sheet without crawling boards!!
  13. If it is fibre-cement sheeting, that is pretty much anything in the big 6 profile, then there should be no asbestos. It is made from recycled clothing mixed with cement essentially. Depending on the age tehre will be a strip of that nylon banding you get round (for example) packs of concrete blocks, an aid to safety, running down each ridge. When they are not as knackered as your sound you can walk all over them with no fear of falling through. Even the roof lights nowadays will stop you going through- I fell on one once. It was knackered afterwards but it saved me from a 35' fall!! Anyway- in order to reproof yours you will need to clean the crud off, and then paint. As has been said the likes of aquapruf, synthaproof etc etc from builders merchants will do it. However these products are usually water soluble, and are really designed to be covered after application, such as when facing concrete blocks with stone etc etc, so you would want to check the spec with the supplier to get a more bituminous based one. There are rubberised paints available too, for doing what you want to do, which will last a long time, but you pay for the priviledge.
  14. Have you ben doing mechanics without wearing gloves? Ths will give you dermatitis, which can take the form of what you are describing. I have it with my left hand, gloves are a must- the builders grip type of glove as mentioned above seem to be the best and most popular type.
  15. YOu do a manual job.....you want tough hands, surely???????? If you really do want hand cream then udder cream for cattle is the best, and "b natural skincare" products made from beeswax are also very good.
  16. Exactly. You never know- he may even turn round and have a change of heart when he realises you arent in the same priviledged financial position as him, and pay up. Communication is (as always) the key.
  17. Hahaha that may not get you the results you really want........I know I would be going straight to the next contractor if I was asked that. You dont have to be in the slightest bit unfriendly or 'heavy' (for want of a better term), just make sure you either submit terms with the quote, or make it clear, in a pleasant manner, what your payment terms are, before you start the job. That way if your customer is expecting a week to pay, or 30 days etc etc you can either work this out with them, or budget for it.
