  1. got a ammo style wooden box that fits nicely in the back of the landy for a tenner, going to bolt it down soon and its got a lock on it so kit always stays in there. Kit thats in there is: Stihl MS361, logging belt, felling lever, loads of wedges, 2 stroke oil, wd40, socket set, screw drivers and loads of other tools, files ect. just general stuff like that, then the combi can, jerry can and oil fits behind the box, although i do have the jerry can mounted on the side in the back now, ontop of the wheel arch.
  2. Just before i came to canada, milled up some ash for a friend, was really nice milling up in the wood, nice drive down through the wood in the landy havent used the alaskan as much as i should, but its getting some use hes got some more for me to do so thats cool
  3. Thought i posted these pics, but i guess i didnt haha Milling a while back and this is the longest log we've had on our mill, about 20ft 4"
  4. for some reason my 84 has power steering, but my friends 86 doesnt, bizzare thats cool that your looking for one for your son! he'll love it! my first car is a landy and im soooo glad i didnt get a little 106 or somthing like that
  5. hahaa yeah i just said that to mum, she still wouldnt let me drive it, would kill myself in it haha

  7. hahahaaa no deal just saw a canadian tree surgeon, on contract by the city, to clean up a small windblown tree, no ppe excent a builders hat and using top handeled saw on the ground, couldnt belive it, but they did have a very big chip trunk with a cherry picker on it and a big vermeer chipper
  8. mum went from a 1984 2.5ltr n/a 90 landy, the one i've got now, to a subrau impreza wrx 2.5ltr turbo
  9. that would have been the perfect time for me to have a look, but im in canada untill thurs, ah well im sure i will see it soon, maybe
  10. we do forestry work so a lot more off road driving, so we all use landys (plus its great to have a beefy landy at 18 ) never had major problems and they do work hard
  11. we get told not to rely on wikipedida at college, as the pages can be edited by anyone and therefore are not always correct
  12. yeah it bet it did! So what are those bars actually designed for use on?

  15. when we are falling timber for milling, we always take the buttresses off, well pretty much always, like stevie said with the big leaners, its easier to do it when its standing than when its down
  16. dont forget its got climate control
