Thats right i was actually involved in tree surgery work today To be perfectly honest, never been to keen on the whole tree surgeons image of going round a little old ladies house and drinking tea, i would rather knock over big hardwoods and play with rusty forwarders all day But.... im sooo looking forward to doing my CS38 and 39 in the next couple of months time and today i was helping (brash bitch) a tree surgeon out, and i actually enjoyed myself! Pruning an Ash, a big birch and dismantling a Western Red Cedar The only thing i really have liked the look of in climbing in the rigging and lowering side, and guess what first time helping out a climber and some of that was in there too, very basic only a small isc pulley, a strop, rope and some karabiners, but was good experience. Wish the phone on my camera worked, but i guess even if i did show you pics you lot would be like meh i do that every day Anyway i had fun

Well you could day that im not exactly sure what the defination of its purpose would be, but it does straighten the rails, like verticaly if ya get what i mean, like bends them in sort of lol, granddad just showed me how to use it on an old dolmar bar haha does kinda some us up im gunna have to have a rumage around in the shed now and see what else i can uncover
  15. i've got one of these, dont know if they make them anymore sorts out the rails on a bar with a bit of brute force! but the bar in a vice and then place this ontop and smack it with a hammer, moving this along the whole bar,
  16. cheeers guys well pleased i passed yeahh thats right PA1 first which is really straight forward just questions on the computer its a good course, seen as though i new our trainer as he is one of our teachers, so he new us and new that we could get on with it, its striaght forward just gotta check your calculations for mixing the chemicals dont wanna go putting a decimal point in the wrong place and putting 200 or so litres of round up on the site

  19. Past my PA6 Knapsack Spaying last week Was a good course, wouldnt mind doing a bit of spraying now and again
  20. they ent no brand new stihl thats for sure, they do shake a fair bit! not too bad tho, if im uising it most of the day i wear a pair of wool type figerless cloves under my work ones, that helps a bit haha

  22. Havent had the 153 out in a while exhaust bolts had rattled out, so needed some new ones and a "new" gasket (well old one from the shed) Thanks to clark engineering i have a lovely new 36" bar and thanks to brownoak some nice new dogs and a new sprocket
  23. No serious problems, but its bloody annoying!!! Felling all day today, and the one day i actually have my visor down and a bit of sawdust hit me in the cheek and bounced up under my eyelid, that was this morn, washed it out and was still annoying me all day, so went to A&E this evenin and the doc said theres a small dent in my eyeball, nothing serious which is good it just be irritating for the next couple of days. Bloody visors!

  25. amazing machines! granddad got a mat and a milly in to help with a job,was incredible to see them working we've got an austin, smilar design, she works a treat!
