  1. they ent no brand new stihl thats for sure, they do shake a fair bit! not too bad tho, if im uising it most of the day i wear a pair of wool type figerless cloves under my work ones, that helps a bit haha

  3. Havent had the 153 out in a while exhaust bolts had rattled out, so needed some new ones and a "new" gasket (well old one from the shed) Thanks to clark engineering i have a lovely new 36" bar and thanks to brownoak some nice new dogs and a new sprocket
  4. No serious problems, but its bloody annoying!!! Felling all day today, and the one day i actually have my visor down and a bit of sawdust hit me in the cheek and bounced up under my eyelid, that was this morn, washed it out and was still annoying me all day, so went to A&E this evenin and the doc said theres a small dent in my eyeball, nothing serious which is good it just be irritating for the next couple of days. Bloody visors!

  6. amazing machines! granddad got a mat and a milly in to help with a job,was incredible to see them working we've got an austin, smilar design, she works a treat!

  9. granddad uses old engine oil in the chainsaw, i tell him not to, but hes done it for the past 50 or so years and dont think hes gunna stop now
  10. same!!! i dont have a problem with they! having said that i havent used the ones on a 200t, but use them on the 260's, 361's, 440's, and a 460 and dont see how they are a fiddle to shut? I did have a dodgey on the 361 which had bent and didnt shut properly, but thats probably from being thrown about they are good caps!
  11. yeah its been stihls policy for ages, with all their chainsaws, strimmers, hedge trimmers ect.
  12. i can sharpen a normal chain alright, free file none of that file holder shite, its just the ripping chain i wanted to get more accurate, haha i'll get a video of granddad sharpening the 070AV soon (:
  13. haha i guessed it might be a bit crappy, i just want a faster way of sharpening ripping chains accuratly haha and stevie yeah granddad wouldnt be happy if he saw me with one of them, i just bought a husky combi can and he was like in my day we had to carry both fuel and oil cans and we just delt with it

Hi Guys, was just flicking through the new stihl catalogue and just saw this bench mounted filling tool (5604 000 7501) and it might be usefull to me, i was wondering if any knows anything about it? Can you set it at non standard angles, for example angles like 0 and 5 degrees for ripping chains? Im started to do a bit more alaskan milling and this might be helpfull. Thanks!

  18. hahaha old tractors rulee! nahh barely any market for them really and nah he wouldnt be interested see this site is on a dairy farm so they have a lot of poplar to keep them busy lol
  19. thanks yeahh poplar has alright timber properties, years ago a lot of poplar was milled at the big saw mills, people dont want it now, some of this we are probably gunna mill up for the owner, they want some stuff for the inside bits of a shed they are building
  20. we sell loadsss of it!!! once its dry it burns well, burnt it on our wood burner most of the winter along with poplar another wood people think is crap

  22. well i use ms440's a lot and their great! just in the not to distant future thinking of getting something slightly bigger
