  1. niceeee! how much do you think it actually improves performance?
  2. is that one of the newer fransguard winchs? cus our 25ish old one works amazing! as for the double drum winch idea, they are great but depends what tractor your thinking of running it on as there is a fair bit of weight out the back, especially the fransguard ones
  3. think everyone knows that goes the same with us but it is very yummy
  4. just looking at the actual power sharp chain, this is not a new ideal, i have a small bit of chain that has similar cutters to that in the shed, thats probably older than me, i didnt no what its from so granddad enlightended me, its off an old saw, cant remember the make that had a grinding disc built inside so it was a self sharpening chainsaw, i'll find out more off him and get a pic of the chain
  5. that americans cant sharpen? haha it looks pretty sweet, would have loved to see that demo rob sounds like a beast
  6. got twin dogs off a 440 on my 361, they fit more or less the same, just needed a bit of filling

  9. like i said heres some pics, its a bit bigger than i first said works amazing thooo
  10. Passed my CS39 this morn soooooo pleased, Great assesor, really fair and great with feedback at the end! Pretty shite location, but had to deal with it, thats colleges fault, same with our training not actually specifying what trees we can do work on, how stupid, is that Had a good day
  11. CS38 is Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue, the next felling ticket is CS32 which is now, if i am correct any tree size, all the way up to the hugeeeee stuff, as they scrapped CS33 Large Tree Felling
  12. ahhh right hahaa, sorry miss read your post, yeah i dont think i would spend that on a winch, well not yet anyway
  13. £500, nah try nearly £2000 M12000 12V serious money ahaa
  14. Had my second day training of CS39 today! Seems like such a good course and im loving it! So much fun! Im nackered now ahah
  15. haha get a nice expensive warn there service is great tooo
  16. really? how did that work? this one must have had it as its the same, but i never saw it with the back actor on, as i wasnt even born hahaa, yeah this used to have a cab, i guess working in the wood soon changed that:thumbup1:
  17. 12000 CTA 12V Winch its pretty cheap, well its on offer, but the origonal price is pretty cheap still, used to be just under £300, they have just changed their whole website layout and it doesnt say now i wouldnt rely on it for proper off roading, like what i do with it seems fine, winching a few trees, rolling logs, moving timber, pulling the landy out on occasion, so its not always doing heavy pulling, and i dont need it to the picture on the website really doesnt do it justice, as you can see from the pics i've posted it does look a lot better in real life and is a look more robust than it looks on the site, its a good package, comes with winch, isolator switch, wireless remote controll and cable control, wire cable and hook, steel fairlead, and battery leads, but if you have a landy remember you'll need winch extension cables as the batterys under the seat, i got mine off the same site 2 x 3m Battery Extension Leads but i think they have gone up in price i'll see if i can find the invoice
  18. yeah its alright, brand new aswell 12000 CTA 12V Winch not a big well know make like warn, unbranded pretty much, didnt want to spend loads on a comp winch as i just wanted to try a winch out. sounds great! bet you had some fun! Yeah we've got a "cant hook type thing" that we use for rolling big logs tried it with this winch and its great! basicly imagine the cant hook off a felling lever, made out of inch think scabby old rusty steel and about 12 - 15" long, great thing to have in your kit, i'll get a pic of it
  19. granddads been using it for most of his life i guess, and his health is fine, and all the saws he runs are fine, even the old ones, not saying im going to use it every day, just talking about the way the old timers do it ahaha
  20. yeah thats a little out of my price range for now, that winch of mine only cost just over £200, 12000lb jobby too, havent had any problems with it yet.... touch wood
  21. hell of a tuneeee!!!! heard it on the radio a while back and god it made me chuckle!
