  1. I have my newly refurbished first chipper for sale, drop me a pm if interested. Thanks, Bill --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374145,0.481136
  2. Use truck wash or tfr same stuff different name tfr= traffic film remover. There's loads of it on eBay either concentrate that you mix yourself or big premixed barrels. It's the best stuff often marketed under brand names like muc-off, Fenwicks etc and sold for a huge mark up. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374045,0.481421
  3. Usually happens when something gets stuck in one side. But it may be something else as if you stripped it down you would have found something like that. check the frame the rollers and motors are mounted in for cracks etc as i have just seen one snap last week its a weak point on these machines as the part is shard between them and the 150 according to the dealer here.
  4. found the speed sensor in the bell housing, looks like its seen better days from the outside. I take it i start testing from here and work back? Do you guys know the exact model it is on the site linked earlier in the thread? Thanks, Bill
  5. i do a lot of climbing for someone with a 190, its very low hours and was new last year it has failed and stopped a days work 3 times so far. All failures appear to have been caused by obvious manufacturing defects. However this was always denied by the dealers. I think the owner is getting a little anxious as the warranty is almost up, I wouldn't buy one with my own money, i'd much sooner buy a Jensen if a compact machine is what you require, or failing that a bandit, schlising, greenmech etc.
  6. You need the biggest of pedestrian machines for that to be practical (25-30hp) or sub it to someone with a big tracked machine. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374151,0.481568
  7. I just want to make enough to do whatever I want within reason holidays, bikes, cars etc comfortably and not need to worry about it...When I get to that point ill be happy --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374015,0.481403
  8. Some of the wages in here are shocking! It's a dangerous hard job if your any good anything less than 3 figures per day is an insult IMO. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374290,0.481332
  9. I put the fuse in, now we autofeed switched to on the roller gets slowed right down, and with it set to off it spins flat out like normal, Shame. But as you guys have pointed out set it down to 5-6" per second and it will chip most material up to about 7" without needing to touch the controls where your average 190 would be on it's limit already hehehe. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373957,0.481695
  10. Don't buy a toy pick up ;-) I'd use it until something breaks then beef up whatever breaks. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373989,0.480777
  11. Interesting! No doubt I'll be re visiting this thread when I try to get my no stress working then! I've found a missing fuse in the wire from the auto feed switch on the front...I'm hoping that's the problem :-) --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374053,0.480816
  12. Pardon my ignorance here, but What's the speed sensor do and where is it located? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374178,0.481385
  13. Between 10 and 20k and that's only if your very hands on and have the mechanical know how to judge, purchase work with and repair older kit...and the tools to do it with. In my experience starting up at the moment with a lot if subby climbing between my own work I think you need to be spending nearly 5k p/a on advertising to have a chance of supporting yourself with your own work. Truck and chipper would run you £6k ish other tools and ppe best part of another 4. And if you were getting 5 day weeks in you'd soon need a chipper worth more like £5k than 2 if you wanted it to last. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374305,0.481254
  14. I've had mine since July ish with no problems St all other than a snapped clutch spring last week, which jonsie replaced free of charge. Better all round saw as long as it's purchased from a good dealer who's set it up right :-) --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373965,0.481493
  15. L200, I tried both semi long term and I now own the L200 the hi lux broke! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374058,0.481674

  22. fit your own primer pump from a motor factors then you can bleed it tot he pup inlet manually. and crack off injector unions and crank to finish it off, or just keep cranking with them open, the fuel will get up there eventually. with a tank that big though you must have been doing some serious chipping to run out!
  23. I regularly use a very new Timberwolf 190 turbo and i wouldn't buy one, the main bearing carrier on the engine stripped all its threads and fell off, leaking lots of oil at barely 100 hours. The feed rollers jam really easily sometimes on very very small pieces of wood and the mechanism gets filled up with chip and jams the rollers at funny angles and half pen etc far too regularly for my liking. also the hopper is too small and the controls are positioned such that to get to them when a large branch has hit the stop bar you have to reach through said branch and get battered as it starts pulling it in again. The Twin sided teeth are a good idea though. Compared to feeding my own 935i a good ten years its senior and far cheaper and more reliable. its very slow and struggles to handle the bigger wood. similar sized schlising and Jensen machines have impressed me far more than the 190 and that's where i'd look to spend my money....If not on an older bigger, better built machine from America....
  24. the shoots come off, i have a 625i for sale myself which was my first chipper. Not being rude but if you do not know the discharge chutes are removable and the machine is 200 miles away don;t you think you should do a bit more research before buying ?
