  1. Just been to see a job involving a windblown oak with a HUGE stem circa 7ft diameter. Would anyone here want the wood for firewood? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374006,0.481120
  2. I'll have a nice Vermeer 625i for sale that's not stolen soon :-) --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374007,0.481839
  3. Scraggs is spot on, I make it all myself ;-). I got the mix of black oil to 90% oil to 10% diesel. I just filtered the oil to 1 micron then blend in barrels and add to tank. Alot of people use it in lorries and pick ups in the US and it's also quite a common fuel here for lister petter engines used for micro generation and such like. Mt engine and pump were totally stock I used it in a 5.9 cummins with Bosch p6100 (inline) pump, the SAMs fuel also went into an old hilux and worked. It smells awful and turns your exhaust soot White! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373957,0.481242
  4. I've also used black diesel, that's used engine oil filtered then mixed with bio to thin it worked quite well, and at 80-90 oil-bio was damn cheap! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374018,0.481590
  5. I have run every vehicle I've owned on it in the last 3 years including my new shape l200 and common rail Iveco daily. Previously it's gone in a sprinter and Vito (both cdi's) t5 transporter and so on. Good bio will run in any diesel engine FACT. 2500l per year can be used before tax becomes an issue. And you maintain mpg unlike when using LPG in a petrol. Great stuff :-) --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373928,0.481386
  6. I've only done up to 39 and am confident to take on every tree I've been taken to so far Experience is the key, and plenty of watching the likes of RCO on here and reading books etc --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373976,0.481401
  7. I looked into tickets and as an experienced operator tgey said I could co E and do a much shorter cheaper course than the 2 week £2500 one. However it seemed that logging hours and the nvq...all the bs stuff would be hard self employed operating on your own jobs. Alot of sites do not require the cscs certification for skills, I've done some work for plant hire companies as an operator and don't hold it, apparently only very large highly regulated sites require that level of certification. Another thing worth looking into may be the in house competency tests most plant hire forms give their employees that cover them to operate all plant with one test. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373988,0.481376
  8. Can't go wrong with a Honda engine, Clarke and Karcher are good pumps often found attached to said engine. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373955,0.481430
  9. Had a few enquiries on this of late, what do you guys think it's worth, climber, 3.5t tipper, usual kit and a 9" chipper I'm in the south east but interested in prices in other regions too. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373998,0.481341
  10. Is that the place opposite the Police station? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.332859,0.475944
  11. spot on, I'm sure very very few people have ever complained that it's Christmas or any if the other crazy pc changes you here about on the news. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374097,0.481412
  12. I've a job booked in for tomorrow and my usual tipping site aren't picking up the phone, so if someone would like to let me lose 2 loads of Connifer chip at their place please let me know where and at what price as it would be greatly appreciated. My no-07505134004 Thanks, Bill --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374064,0.481468
  13. Didn't see it, where's he from n what's he look like? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374008,0.481231
  14. Few miles driving with the vac line re attached and the lights gone out, all good :-) --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374173,0.481185
  15. Ok, thanks anyone know where the hole to plug it into is? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.346036,0.477710
  16. What collies the wire on the plug? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373941,0.481150
  17. Fair enough, I'll look into it. Where is the ecu? Although I would like see if there's a reason it's on as I just handed over £5k for it I don't want the light on on principal ! I think the reason the more 'rugged' trucks work better longer is they are junk to start with, they come out the factory all agricultural and noisy so there's nothing to complain about. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374126,0.481006
  18. So my lights probably on due to slight over boost on occasion? If I'm not experiencing any detriment to performance then my egr should be fine at present ? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374058,0.481026
  19. Since replacing the vacuum line it has had full power, but the light annoys me! I've since read It can be due to any fault causing the vehicle to potentially fail an emissions test which doesn't really matter. I'll get one of those obi code readers. Where can I get a list of the codes to find out what they mean? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374086,0.480985
  20. I bought a 56 plate new shape L200 on Christmas eve, 28k on it. I test drove it for ten miles on a range of roads everything was fine bar it being very low on fuel and having a dodgy battery. About 15 miles from the guys house the engine management light came on and power was down slightly, not like limp home mode, it was just a bit flat. Once I got it home which was a further 50 miles, I found a vacuum hose disconnected from the I let manifold. This restored full power and boost but the engine management light remains illuminated, even after removing the battery for the night, hs anyone got any ideas why it's still on? The only idea I can co e up with is that as it was driven for about 20 miles with very little fuel in he filter may be slightly clogged, just enough to throw up a fault but not enough to affect Performance? Any ideas much appreciated Thanks, Bill --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.374020,0.480800
  21. Tamar telecommunications £50 deposit then £3 a month per number a few pence a minute for the incoming calls, service has been great for me. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=51.373986,0.480689
  22. I was thinking this when i bought twelve of them, i've sent out 7-8 now and people seem to be snapping them up at £30 each. They're great as alot of my customers have very poor access. and 2 guys or one and asack barrow can get them anywhere within reason.
  23. i cut my bridge with a brand new silky, its still going strong a year on ! Lucky though, i knew they cut ropes easily but th evideo was quite a surprise!
  24. My friend started a plumbing business recently, and due to many negative comment son ehre i've never really bothered withleaflets but he did most of our village straight away and a few areas further away and has had an amazing repsonse so far, i'll deffinatley be investing in some inth every near future.
  25. Interesting, I am aware that seeminly minor damage to ropes & slings can compromise their strength to a far greater extent than one would imagine. But my thnibking on myharness was the cut was probbaly less than 5% in the depth of the bridge and the sectionw here i cut it had several lines of reinforcing stictiching going through it, which would stop the tear progressing any further if it tried to along similar lines to drilling a crack and so on. Of course officially i know nothing about these matters but i'm still here so that says something:lol:
