  1. Willis & Grabham, Chainsaw Supplier and Garden Machinery Specialists have always seen me right. The lady's on ebay too (what's wrong with ebay?) as kaaz24. Jon
  2. Willis & Grabham, Chainsaw Supplier and Garden Machinery Specialists have always come up with the goods for me. The lady is kaaz24 on ebay.
  3. I have no involvement with Landys at all but thought there may be some bits of interest here for some of you saddos! Liveridge British 4 x 4 Limited - In Liquidation - Timed Online Auction - Kumar & Company Limited - BidSpotter.co.uk
  4. 99% softwood at home; I keep the hardwood for the great British public who prefer to pay more for stuff that's hard to light and heavy to handle, all in the belief (still) that conifer is absolute rubbish. Mind you I wouldn't mind selling a bit more softwood.
  5. Whenever I've come into possession of MP I've struggled to get rid of anything bigger than 12" diameter because most turners' lathes can't handle it! The smallest I've fond to be of interest was 6" dia.
  6. It produces huge chip; just look at it.
  7. That last bit is great: I've refused to buy supermarket fuel for years and when asked why I just say 'because they use crap fuel' but I haven't been able to back that up. I shall now regard that as gospel as it suits my purposes to do so!!! Cheers.
  8. No, it's not you. I never know what sizes to go for as different manufacturers seem to size their own way. I had my feet professionally measured recently for some hiking boots and found that my feet are nearly half a size different. The advice from this professional, should this be of interest to you, was to buy slightly on the large side and put moulded foot supports inside; ones that you remove at the end of every day to dry out! A bit sad maybe but they do make a difference. https://grangers.co.uk/product/g20-trek-insole
  9. ...just for a day or two! For a machine that costs thousands it has to be worth the investigation surely.
  10. I've been on jobs with a hired one and it's been a Godsend with only a pair of adjustable pallet tines on it. Why don't you try that - hiring?
  11. Ebay. I got padlock like this Container Garage Shed Shutter Chain padlock heavy duty high security | eBay . It can't be opened or closed without a key in it. £20. Then there's stacks of chain on there too; I think I paid about a tenner for a length of chunky stuff a third of an inch thick. I agree with your thinking; if they're determined enough you're not going to keep 'em out. The best you can do is delay them and then maybe they'll get bored and go away. I think this is TOMLEAF's Halfords | Oxford Hardcore Chain & Padlock
  12. Welcome to suburbia where rear garden access is being built on. Ker-ching!
  13. lwc, don't take it to heart please but look at it from the other side of things. FWIW I too would have grabbed it from you with thanks and a small case of beer as I sell firewood. My secure supply however, along with limited time, precludes it as a sensible move even though I'm comparatively just round the corner in Caterham. But I appreciate your kind thought; at least I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it is a genuine offer! Jon
  14. Turn bottom double S the right way up, attach one side to top double S with wire running outside a spring, attach opposite spring to free side of bottom double S, attach second spring to bottom double S, remove wire.
  15. Beaut! And I'll bet he never saw the irony... Delivering firewood a couple of weeks back; rang the doorbell, waited and Madam - late 30s - opened it slightly with a bath towel around her. I apologised for the disturbance of course and the rejoinder was 'it seems that if I ever want someone to come to the house I just have to get in the shower'. Er - yep, that would work.
  16. Get your legs stretched! :001_tt2:
  17. Yes, but I'm hoping they'll sell me the thing at the end of the lease. If not I have a monstrous body-fixing bill awaiting me! Something to consider if you're determined to return the vehicle at the end of the lease; the lessors want it back in showroom condition.
  18. Ah yes - 'legally'! Cheers, Jon
  19. I'm no expert and have had no dealing with the manufacturer but have used a hired 7015. Now that thing is a beast; great machine. What a shame you've had problems because otherwise you'd be enjoying a match made in Heaven. Out of interest what do you use to drag your 7015 about? I'm not saying what I used but the experience certainly taught me to look up and brake early - very early!
  20. OK then: gobbypunk, if you're interested enough I'm sure we could arrange some help to get it loaded for my next trip to Devon though I doubt I'd want to be flying down the 303 with all 4 lumps on board! And it will probably be towards the very end of the year. Jon
  21. If one guy could get that onto a pickup I'd look after it until my next trip to Tiverton, then throw it out at Gobbypunk in passing so to speak but I think it's a bit much for one isn't it...

    Boot repair?

...Altberg quoted me 4-6 weeks if I remember right.

    Boot repair?

Why don't you ask Emergency Services Boot Repair? The worst that can happen is that you lose the postage sending them there for a look see.

    Boot repair?

Well worth bearing in mind: I've recently sent a pair of boots back to Altberg for re-soling @£70 (which I'd expect for a manufacturer repairing their own boots) and when I e-mailed Haix in Germany asking if they did such work the reply was 'you'll have to ask your local (Haix) agent'! Will definitely give these a go; thanks.
  25. Cool - dream on! A practical way to go about the search facility may be to keep the search parameters straightforward (make, model, perhaps colour) and then display a load of info (marks, modifications and other identifiers) in the results fields. Until a couple of years ago I used a system that had its roots in British Airways 1970s ticket booking software; much amended of course but the above was one of its features; simple searching, lots of info in Results.
