  6. lime is chewy stuff, either your gub was slightly open or you hadnt cut enough, i usually keep the saw in their and when i know it is definately going over and i know when too i give it some revs mate.
  7. Get stuck in and work your arse off, If the employer is reputable you will get noticed quickly and get looked after.
  8. my mate had a barney in the petrol station about filling his combi. They will let you fill one of their crapy wee plastic ones, but take in a 35 quid kite marked combi and its a no no. red diesel i buy from the local supplier, who keeps me posted on costs, and will top up if he is passing. 2 stroke i buy a 25 litre drum of whatever he has, dirt cheap and lasts me years. never had any problems. diesel and petrol i buy from wherever i am when i need it. i used to use vegy oil for about 5 years but now it has went up i am back to stihl chain oil. the harvester chain oil is good, if you are working beside them now, i would get some off those guys and get some chain off them aswell.
  9. i saw a guy use a pump, that was like a battery drill. it looked pretty cool. dont know how powerfull it was but might be worth a look. it wouldnt take up much room.

  14. do you have to send your bank details with this e mail?
  15. dont have any experience personally, but went to school with lads that were fostered. These poor wee guys had been through hell, and this couple gave them a chance. They were wild when they came in first year, but they left school with qualifications and friends. Anything you can do to help others would be wothwhile. You have a lot of life experience by the sounds of it, and know good from bad. best of luck mate.
  16. i bet you have seen some changes mate, when you started could you just have a big bonfire, thats what my old man used to do.
  17. there is nothing like a nice car in the driveway to get you out your bed in the morning, I went through a stage where i changed my vehicle 7 times in 18 months.lost a fortune but i would get up at night and look between the curtains to see the new motor there. it would give me butterflies and i would get really excited and couldnt wait to go to work.
  18. I know a guy who done over 20k in a day, he had a large area to clear, when they got to the sight it had been torched and there was nothing left but a few sticks. He stuck the bill in, and after a bit of to and fro he got paid. jammy bastxxx my best was 3750 but you dont get many of them.
