  1. Well done mate, it only gets better, any plans for when the big day is. My missus had ours organised within 5 weeks. My advice from now on would be to do as you are told.
  2. I know i shouldnt be on this thread but when you are on cloud nine. what the hell. my wife was the first and so far only lady to have a child 2day in scotland, he is amazing. He looks like he has been here for weeks, met santa, my other sons face when he got his first bike, my wife on the radio and going to be in the local papers, making my big brother cry(shrek himself) by naming my new boy after him. then i had my first christmas meal at my parents home for 15 yrs, 3 quilted lumberjack shirts WITH POCKETS, a seal skin waterproof bunnit(thats a hat my southern friends) and i have still got more to open. If this is heaven i am there. Oh and me and the dogs are about to fire up the outdoor logburner and burn the chrimbo wrapping with a magners. MERRY CHRISTMAS:001_tt1:

  8. I hear what you are saying about the whole mog and cost thing mr ed, i think the main attraction for me is the chipper set up. For one there is the value for money that you get with a pto chipper, and just the time and hassle it saves. I used to have to take the to behind off half a dozen times a day, it was only a six inch and the preping for the chipper was a pain in the arse. The bigger the chipper, the quicker the emptying and return time the better. Every vehicle i have ever owned has broken down at some point and they all cost money to fix. But you either love them or hate them.
  9. you have a lovely family there mate, they must be really excited about santa. hope you have a good chrimbo and all the best for 09. stevie

  10. hey skyhuck, i wreckon the reason your tennis elbow is better and your boots last so long is because you have a big sky hook that lifts you over the puddles, and you section trees in about 3 bits. have you ever thought about ratchit strapping a 046 to the crane and just sitting in the mogy with the heaters on, then just crane it straight into the trailer. ha ha
  11. i have only used a big one once and it was like a flying carpet, but i dont fancy the wee tracked ones, did any of you guys see the demo of the Huddig at the apf. what a tool. I would love that hiab cherry basket gadget on the mog, but did you see that sucker bounce full stretch.
  12. hey volvo, i did the same as you on my second day, what sounds good in your head can come across badly to others. text is expressionless. Its amazing the difference one of these wee yellow faces can make. merry christmas:001_tongue:
  13. could it of had a back lean on it from the point where he put the fold. if you have the skill it certaily would save a lot of disking down on a tree that size. or maybe he is showboating so every other tree cutter on the planet feels inadequate:001_smile:
  14. I will give him a shout for one.
  15. where did you get that mate:001_smile:

  19. Is that a tree shear on the harvester mate, if so how did it do?
  20. i am with skyhuck on this one, 100 quid in tescos in money well spent. It is a goodwill gesture. thats my job tomorrow. First stop the local factoring agency, then the cafe(buzz you know how good that cafe is) then make my way home via my good friend the accountant with a bottle of malt.
