    i heard that 2 pencil story, 20yrs ago a years ago, and a day doesnt go by that i dont get a shudder thinking about it. that must of been agony mr Edd:scared1:

  11. when the guy feeding the chipper needed a 'poky-stick'he would jump about like a chicken and we would all know the chipper was jammed and go get him one.(pre headsets)

  14. this is when you are on your spikes and strop, sconning down a dead trunk.(i served my time on dead elms)and you slip!you XXit yourself and grab that tree like a "wolverine death grip"this is the best description we came up with after a few magners.Has anyone else got any other sayings for the goings on in our job?
  15. remember your head is the heaviest part of your body, if you are using a prussik dont have it too long, i always have a really long one for getting up nice and quick, but it is a hindrense when branch walking. but if you are bricking yourself you will be fine. stick in there and as the other guys say it will just come together.hang in there mate.

  18. This will probably spark another husky or jonsered type discussion. but i have had a gerber for 3 years.it was 30quid at the highland show at a stand. i cant fault it.
