    well chuffed with geckos, tried them out today for about 4 hrs. comfier than a comfy thing, my only quibble would be the buckle type piece of metal where the footstrap goes through could of done with a little swivel on it, the strap bunches up when you tighten it, but apart from that they are excellent. well recomended guys:001_smile:

    hey dave, if you are going to lock the piston make sure you get the alloy one you screw in and not a plastic one, i had one snap years ago and get lost in the engine, had to pay someone to strip it down. it might not even be the pump, have you taken it apart yet to see if it has the spinny oiler thing behind the drum. you will know if you have one because the drum will have a small notch out it where it fits in.

    the best thing i ever got for the saws mate was a small compressor with a gun/nozzle on the end. i had the same problem as you. it was the end of the oiler under the cover that broke because of all the crap. the part was pennys but the inconvenience was a pain. A quick blast out at the end of the night, especially after a wet day, just keeps ontop of them. obviously they need a thurough blast and clean as well, but the compressor makes it a doddle. oh and i always by 026 s 2 at a time since then.

    check the screw underneath is fully open. but i would think it might just be full of crap. clean it out with petrol, take the clunk off and give it a good blow. andstick a small straw thru the oiler from the bar end. if the 026 is old it will be driven by the sprocket cover, take it off and make sure it hasnt broken, this will happen if you dont clean it out properly, it will just be driven by the vibration so only oiling a wee bit.

    totally forgot mate, sorry. i have just texted my mate who has them, so hopefully get them tomorrow.

    weather is good, i think we will miss the snow hopefully. it is nice to look at but a pain in the arse.

    i find when up some horrible skinny dead tree and your heart is in your mouth, a simple 3 inch peg to the backside of the stem can give you that little bit of reasuurance i need. one less what if. but yes they can catch ropes and break ribs.
