  1. thats what i did mate, splitt them with the cracker about 6 months ago in 8-12 foot lenghts, dry as a bone. so most of the wood is pretty well seasoned but i would hate to deliver them next year and they were mouldy
  2. i am a one man band spike pruning cowboy mate, that now does firewood oops woodfuel. i wont let health and safety get in the way of my log drying process. i am building a big pyramid just now for a laugh:001_tongue:

  9. i dont know if there is less tree guys or just less adds, i have always found the yellow pages a waste of time. i wouldnt like to see anyone lose their business, big or small. it takes a lot of guts to take that first step into self employment. i would rather loads of work loads of workers. imagine no apf:ohmy:
  10. i am bagging up logs in 1 ton bags, they are standard non vented ones, will they dry ok or will they get mouldy?i dont have indoor storage this is my only option, they will get covered with a tarp allowing air underneath to circulate:001_smile:

  20. i think there are some folk in this world that shouldnt be aloud chainsaws and machinery, if someone turns up looking for a job with one arm coz he cut it off with a pole pruner, then sorry mate you arent getting a job. he who does the best paperwork wins, i used to send a safety officer to site before me too fill out all the forms tick all the boxes give him 30quid and in we would walk, never even seeing the site. and these were 5 star safety rating factorys.
