  1. horrible, horrible horrible. i bet the pics dont do it justice. good job mate. i had a nutty customer today, spent an hour shaping a cherry tree, in full bud of course. it looked ok, it was a salvage job after someone had cut all the branches off up to about 12 feet. then she made me pole prune the life out it, because she didnt like certain branches, i finally asked her if i could just fell it, then she replied how much she loved the tree. i was too peeved off to take a picture, but bart simpsom comes to mind. thankfully it was in a back garden.

  5. my mate lives in wormingford 60 miles from capel, so he is up for it. any travel lodges near buy, are you getting digs?

  6. 447 miles from largs, 7 hrs 15mins. any airports close. that would be easier.

  7. scrap value alone, it was always one of the first to be thrown in the war of the toy box:scared1:
  8. whens that show? dont mind a wee drive, have never got drunk at a show before, never trusted myself. probably fell the climbing poles or steal a harvester lol but it would be good to be part of the crowd.

  9. sounds good tom, camping and bbq:001_smile: why dont you see if the estate needs any work done, climbing without a saw is illegal i heard:001_smile:
  10. the guy we had that tought soils and drainage was called mr badger:001_smile: festuca rubra commutata. thats the only one i remember:001_smile:
  11. squirrel is good, but the logs have to be small
  12. i have the one in the second pic mate, you press a wee lever at the back and it spins round giving you a gun that can fire matchsticks. weighs about half a kilo.
  13. hi alisdair, when looking for work, i see it no different if you own your own business or are looking for a job, its all the same. you have to make as good a package as poss for the person who is giving you money. if i were you, i would go to the job shop and look into apprenticeships, do all the research and try and get something from them. if you did this then you could offer a lot more to an employer ie free/cheap labour. things are really tight in our area just now, the only work that is being done is council stuff before the year end. there are just too many at it imo. big companies will drop you the minute work dries up and small ones dont want to commit. it took me years to get into this game round here, i had to go to glasgow for a start, and i lied to get that job. good luck.
  14. geniosses dont care about speeling:001_smile:

  18. yikes frank, that looked horrible, i thought a man like you would of given it a little push with the pallet forks, look like you could of done with a winch. i hate ivy
  19. a big fendt will torpedo a 30 foot larch under the cab, watch out. oh and i have seen a 6" by 10" log driven straight through a tyre. but awesome machines in the right hands:001_smile:
  20. thats just what it looks like john, makes me feel a bit squeamish.
  21. i think a limb has been removed at some point, after that it is beyond me.
  22. i have a tp 250(pto)it can only be operated from the one side(safely)due to the forward/reverse lever. and taking the feed roller springs off when jammed up are a nightmare, a 2 prong gizmo lever that could be attached would be good thing, rather than pull cord and a crowbar.
  23. alexander snatched a donut for breakfast this morning:sneaky2:
