has the branch to go away from us or towards us, if it is toward then it would need another line to pull the branches by the big lower limb. what is below the tree. many obstacles. i only use a speedline if it is simple.

i dont use pulleys, just rope, carbs and small slings. either straight from the branch i am cutting or bounce it off the closest one. take up a few slings with carbs, make the lads clip them on to your line before heading off with the branch, then just pull them up to you. in the right situation you can put them straight into the hopper:001_smile:

a gift:sneaky2:be a man and admit they are from you, i got them in our local garden centre, they stayed toastie for hrs last night. we have a neck warmer made from the same stuff, had it for about 3 years used almost every day in winter, still works the same, the slippers were about 15 quid me thinks:001_smile:

i am all for living off the land and sea, and to me it doesnt go on cute and cuddly. a fly that is squashed into a windscreen or dolphin that has been hammered to death, they both deserve a moment of sorrow. a heartbeat is a heartbeat. this was most probably done hundreds of years ago so the islanders could survive. but times move on, and just because you are good at killing something doesnt mean that it is right. -
