valmet is 99.9%sold mate, will know for definate on monday, buyer is just waiting for service report from valtra. fingers crossed, she is amazing on jobs like that. we did that whole job from start to finish in under an hour.

marc being on a boundary with a farmers field, it had a few big limbs removed years ago that were rotten from the cut to the base, approx the bottom 10 feet. but the poor old girl had a tarmac road on one side and had been ploughed to about 4 feet on the other, the roots didnt have much of a chance either. one of its nieghbours snapped last year, they are saving their pennies for me as wee speak, should be interesting:ohmy:. if it wasnt for the rot-iron fence we could of hauled it back into the field.

weather has been great here for weeks now, the fields are nice and dry. the ash is on the log pile ready for the chop tomorrow lads. even the rotten bit, i dropped it from about 20 feet for a laugh and it broke up nicely.

wee used to call it the ' funky chicken '. if the top roller gets jammed you need an even bigger bit to shove up the top roller, always comes down with a bang. when we would be chipping and it would happen, it was hard to describe what we needed and what the problem was through sign language, so we agreed to jump about like a chicken, worked a treat...

3.5m leylandi, potted, handleable. haha. absolute nightmare mate. what is the ground like, stoney, sandy,??unless you dont want to bust your gutt and make a loss then price in everything you think you will need, stick on some more and take no responsibility for their survival unless you are pricing in watering aswell. i charge the same rate for planting as i do cutting/climbing. can usually make good money on the trees aswell. but dont price too low mate. -

nightmare john, its when it has been mashed down and in there for years and it has composted. worms and bugs. i had to ladder onto a hedge from the outside because it was so jammed up. i usually find old bow saws and b+q loppers aswell.
