Im down to working 2 days atm, which is ok whilst im at college but i used to look forward to the cash boost when half term or whatever came around. But when these holidays do come around we still only work 2 days... So ive just been working with the old man, which dosnt pay well lol and sorting out logs but im not going to see any money from that until the winter, so money is abit tight atm.

I've done similar but using chogging cuts, not cutting right through. Basically i put a chogging cut in the first lump, then start to cut the second chog and leave the saw in there while i break the first chog off. Takes the saws weight off your harness and makes chucking the wood down abit easier as you can move about abit easier. Does that make any sence, im sure you know what i mean

These the best photos i got. The last one was abit of a laugh Also it has a hydraulic winch on there so if you cant quite reach the timber, you just winch it towards you.

ta21 9ph - Google Maps Theres mine, well my old mans. But i have a fairbit of input into it. We own all the glass and polytunnels you see. We don't own the motocross track but it has now extended into one of our fields and we get a % of the money. Plus I get to ride there free when I like

Found a horseshoe grown into a branch once. We were also asked to grind a stump that had a gas bottle grown into it, we didn't take the job on, just wasn't worth the hassle.

We ring it up and hand load most of the time. We do have a 3pt linkage crane which goes on the mog. But most of the jobs we do dont have very good access so you cant get the crane anywhere near the timber.

Il say im average, ive been climbing for about 2years and have tackled an aray of jobs, from easy "cut and chuck" to dismantling over greenhouses, fences etc. Im pleased to say i havnt caused any damage to myself, or items around/underneith the tree. Unless you count the odd divet in the lawn from branch butts.

During my first year at college doing NCH Arb, i was surprised to find that around 40% of the people on the course, 40 in all, were dyslexic. To my knowledge they all passed the course, and also passed there 4 NPTC tickets. I didnt notice them getting much extra help, maybe more 1:1 sessions so that things could be explained to them over a longer period of time giving them more chance to take it in. -
We only wear hi-vis if working roadside, rest of the time its company tshirts which are currently blue.

My farther runs a nursery, and his season has been underway for about 3 weeks now and so far, everything is going well and garden centres are buying in big numbers. But he thinks this season is showing signs of coming and going very quickly, so is trying to push as much stock through garden centres while he can. We believe it might be the very harsh winter we had, causing alot of plants to die of so people are replacing them. Sellick Nurseries - Fuchsias, Geraniums, Marguerites and hanging basket plants point of sale ready for the retail trade its in the process of being revamped!

Nice one, there better than anything ive tried in the past lol What saw did you use? Top or back handle? When i did try and make one i found the 020much more accurate, still turned out crap though. Maybe thats where i was going wrong...
